Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hey guys, my father has a 2008 Citroen C5 and he has just bought an OEM LCD screen and an OEM upgraded head unit for his car, the issue is the little brown connector on the LCD is smaller than the standard monochrome display.
Is there an adapter of some sorts for this connector ?

The RNEG (MyWay) from Harman Becker is different to the eMyWay (RNEG2 or or RT6) from Magneti Marelli. Both the NG4 and the RT6 systems require the DG4 Hi Res colour screens. The earlier MyWay colour screen will not work with the NG4 or RT6 units.

If your diagnostic kit is up to the mark, it may not be able to read the telematic ECU if it is knackered - which may also be the reason why it's not working. I bought a Lexia device and software and have it all running nicely on an xp laptop. my Car is a 56 C8 and I bought the lexia to enable the aux input on the radio. when I run the global diagnostics test everything seems to report back ok, including the radio which reports no faults. Hi I've got a dab radio but the dab function doesn't work I can see the option button but cannot select the button? I've been told I need a firmware update to get it sorted but at a cost of £150 can any one supply or show me where I can download the update? I've added a photo of radio model below

You may need to get the dealer to check and activate it if it is not available. There were several systems fitted to these vehicles and they were available with different options - so depends on what you have, but it may just need activating or a software update.

It will all depend on what radio you have fitted just now, where both the antennas & USB plugged in the back?
At a guess i would imagine the mini USB probably connects to a USB socket on the dash somewhere to play music from a USB stick?
The antennas could be for GPS, DAB, FM. Some radios have twin FM tuners. The connections may already be there...

I have a DS5 on a 15 plate. Recently my tablet started rebooting every 3 minutes, put a new battery in the car thinking that the battery was on its way out. Hi,

Going to change the stereo in my C5.
looking around for the top dash panel form a nav equipped car. Emailed a few folks breaking cars but no real joy and the only one on Ebay is £150 :shock:
Are these rare parts that are commanding this sort of price?

Has anyone had a sat nav location issue, my wife's 208 lost its location last year, and was about 10 miles out, after some time, it sorted itself out, but has now stopped again, although the arrow changes direction with the car, the map is currently in the middle of the Wash!

Be very wary of changing the head unit. It is possible you may loose some Menu functions associated with vehicle configuration / trip computer if you change it. If you have the Bluetooth module option fitted, that may also be affected.

Ive just picked up my 208 this evening and have a quick question regarding the touchscreen audio inputs.

It is likely to be the aftermarket radio causing this. The networks and ECUs are highly integrated, and this includes the radio that was installed at the factory. If you post up the VIN the forum staff can let you know exactly which one had been fitted at the factory, so you can then see about getting a replacement. This will need to be coded to...

In my experience a software version above V71 is required for RD45 connection.

The only way to program the screens is to use Diagbox through the car's OBD port. Then you can change the settings related to the car. I am surprised you cannot do anything with your new screen though?

Hi, I bought Peugeot 508 with factory integrated JBL 5.1 sound system with already fitted Andoid (A-media, RK3188, 5.1.1, MTCE_MX ) already canbus decoder (no brand, just sign for 2008) connected to the unit.

My DS3 aux and usb do not work but the 12v does leading me to believe it’s not the fuse.

Would a replacement part be the answer?

If so how do I get it out and what is the part number and price please?

I would certainly try the F14 fuse as the AUX and USB are fed into and supplied by the Media box. I would test the fuse too - don't rely on a visual check as they can often appear to 'look' ok.

I'm trying to figure out why the bluetooth in my van connects one day but not the next?
When it fails to connect automatically the screen showing the connection details is unresponsive. You cannot delete paired devices or 'interrogate' devices.
I appears to be very random? Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I’ve just bought a C5 Exclusive, I can play songs from my iPhone through the car speakers and I can use the phone from the radio controls all names and numbers are loaded. I cannot get the voice recognition to work off the stalk. The voice recognition from Siri will pick the name and phone the number, it recognizes this....

Ok, so check the filenames and the bit rates - if some tracks are in a different format then they won't be recognised. make sure there are no dodgy characters.
