It's very likely you have corrupted map software in that case.

Ok, so you had your VIN slightly wrong, but I've corrected it now. So you have the RT6 system.

Maps are stored on the internal flash memory card. Either you have a corrupt map source (download has become corrupt or the source is non-official) or you may have a fault on the internal SD card that is causing an issue.

it's likely a problem with SD card, the more so because despite the unsuccessful update the old UK maps have dissapeared. Thank you, i have to find any information how to change SD card and clone data to new one.

There's a load of info on this thread:

viewtopic.php?t=63227

If you suspect a faulty Internal SD card, then you need to copy your user data from the correct partition as this holds the vehicle specific info like your parking assistance options etc. You'll need to use Mira Scripts to help you with this, so that you can copy the relevant parts back afterwards.

Thank you. It's looks scary. Before i will decide do do i will try to one thing more.I got information that i should try to do pendrive format using smartphone. Probably android doesn't create "system volume information" files which can cause problems during map update. If it will be not helpful i will have no way.

Just open notepad and copy the following text into it (make sure you have the 'Save as Type' set to ALL FILES first) and save the file on your desktop as:

Remove System Files.bat

Code: Select all

@echo off
set /p DriveLetter=Enter Drive Letter and ":" to remove System Volume Information Files and Folders.
%DriveLetter%
attrib -a -r -h -s "System Volume Information"
Rmdir "System Volume Information" /q /s
pause
Next, when you insert the USB drive, make a note of the drive letter that Windows assigns to it.

When you've copied all your map files over, just double click the 'Remove System Files.bat' you created and follow instructions. Just type in the drive letter of the USB Drive followed by the : and press enter. It will remove all the system files for you. Then remove the USB drive.

You need to copy the text in the code window in my post.
You can do this by pressing the SELECT ALL option from the code window. This will copy the text to the windows clipboard.
Open Notepad on your PC
Paste the Code in.

It should look like this:
RSF B.JPG
Then in Notepad, choose FILE, SAVE AS and then make sure the 'SAVE AS TYPE' dialogue box is set to ALL FILES (*.*)
RSF.JPG
Just leave the ENCODING options as UTF-8, there's no need to change this.

Type the filename and save.
