This is my first post here :)
I have a plan to replace my RD4 with RD45 radio (I need USB and BT). I already bought RD45 (version with black front plastic in attachment) from aliexpress but a little different version.

The first thing is front plastic... I tried to change it but it does not fit, the only solution is to break the plastic...

I recently upgraded from RD4 to RD45, got a new display also, i finally have bluetooth music and handsfree calls. But i cant seem to get TA (Traffic announcements to work). Using diagbox 7.40, i checked the region which was China, the only i could change to was:
China
Japan
South America
USA
Other Contries...

That's pretty much it - the Chinese simply don't use TA, which is a feature of RDS that retunes your radio for the duration of the traffic announcement.

They want to hear traffic news, they tune into Shenzen Traffic 106.2, or whatever their local station is. RDS just isn't widely used in China.

tbh I wouldn't bother. Keep your eyes peeled and type C displays can be found reasonably, eg, Now, you do have to check that any specific display's software version suits your setup, but a little patience can get you one for £20 or so.

I decided to try getting a bit of copper wire, sandwiching the copper between the mast and base where they screw together, and cutting it to match the length of the mast.

Hi, it's very likely to be the RD4 Head Unit. The fact that you're getting bluetooth calls is because there is a separate Hands-free module installed which handles the bluetooth side of things that talks to the display screen.

The factory rd45 radio does not show the callers name, when somebody calling me. After I press “yes”, on the display I can see the name of the caller, as it saved in my phonebook….

They re NOT all the same and the MFD has an ECU inside it that controls the Head Unit (RD4 / RD45). If there are incompatibilities between these there will be errors. Some units are for RD4 systems, some for RD4 with Hands-free kits and some are for RD45 units. Further, there are different levels of the Head units to make things more complicated,...

Hi there ...I am newbie here ... I need help with my C5 audio system... I want to make a phone calls from my phone through the Bluetooth but I can not ... It seems that the 2008 has not got Bluetooth device installed on them even thou there is a phone button on the steering wheel... I want to upgrade it to be able to use the manufacturer fitted...

The screen is either compatible or not dependant on the software version of the screen.

Yep, when my 407 screen died I got one from a C4, configured it but no telephone. got another, telephone was fine.
Until about Feb this year when I can call out but not receive calls. The phone rings via the cars speakers then nothing. Apparently the issue...

Hi everyone, i am looking to upgrade to a newer unit but I am stumped as to what to buy.
I have searched the forum history and found that it is different for specific cars with different VIN numbers?

Hello.
I have a 2008 C2 with the RD4 radio (with the 6 grey buttons and the TA/PTY button) and the 'Type A' Multi Function Screen. I've never really been a fan of the mfd as although it's fairly big it doesn't really show much without having to press the end of the stalk all the time to cycle. I would like to be able to have more info on screen...

Hi, thought i'd do a quick update. The type c display arrived today so I went out and installed it to make sure it works. Seems to be fine. All functions present and correct from previous type a with the only difference I can see is the bluetooth function which of course my rd4 radio doesn't support.

I finally got around to getting a USB stick to work with my RD45 and in the process noticed that there wasn't too much info surrounding the limitations of the stick. And some of the info was either conflicting or didn't make sense. So I'm just leaving my findings here for anyone to stumble upon in the future.

i have bought an aux cable and connected it to the back of the radio.
it didn't work apparently i have to use the obd port and menu selection cd & aux 1 to enable the aux.

I was looking for a obd2 cable to usb and get hold of diagbox to do it.
But i just messaged this guy
and he told me that this won't work with diagbox.

My 2008 207cc has an RD4 and an EMF-C with v51.?? firmware.
Got an RD45 in the post this morning and an EMF-C with the later firmware is arriving next week.
Thought I'd give the RD45 a go and the first obvious thing is that the RD4 (and the loom) have White and Grey antenna connectors and the RD45 has just the White.

Single antenna (White) is working just fine now, it just doesn't receive as well as the RD4 (dual antenna) does.
On another note, I can maybe put to bed the rumour that an RD45 needs an EMF-C with a v72 firmware.
Mine (from a scrap 2013 C3 Picasso, not China) is working fine on a v71.3 EMF-C from a 2009 308.

Having got used to Bluetooth on my partner's C3 Picasso (it has an RD45) I'd kinda like it in my 207cc.
So firstly I considered replacing my RD4 with an RD45 but my multifunction display is only on 51.something so that gets a little more complex.
Next up is the 'Nomad' unit...
Question is, do I already have one?
My radio is griping about an F905...

I can't confirm that the wiring will be there or not, sorry as it's generally a factory-fit option on order. Harnesses are different according to optional equipment fitted and in this case you already have a different harness because of non-automatic A/C and no Parking assistance. I have replaced a radio in a Peugeot 207 with a radio from a Citroen C3. It powers up and plays the radio fine, but is constantly beeping every few seconds as it needs programmed.

I have an Autel that I tried but it can't do it, does anyone know what diagnostics will be able to program the radio to this car?

Trying to delete the previous owners phones with 'Delete a paired device' and when selecting a phone it just returns to the main screen and doesn't delete.

Good afternoon all....I am looking for someone who can help me with my radio and mfd problem.
The MFD does not always come on when I switch on the ignition and it sometimes does come on. It might stay on for while or go off randomly for no apparent reason. It may come back on during the journey or it may not..
