Hi everyone,

I've been trying to upgrade the satnav in my 2005 Peugeot 607 from an RT3 to an RT5. I found an RT5 with a high res display in a C4 Picasso from 2009 and got the display cable from a 407 which used to have an RT4 (the Picasso doesn't use a seperate cable) and the front panel off of a 607 with an RT4. After liberal use of a dremel,...

Does anyone happen to have a users_com.dat file from an RT4 or RT5 that was originally fitted to a 607? Mine's from a Picasso, so some things aren't quite working as they should.

Come to think of it, perhaps it might be a decent idea to put up a database of those files? I've got them from a C4 Picasso and a 407 with RT5, if anyone needs them....

Hi,

Recently bought a C5 from a very nice gentleman, he told me the original RT4 head unit had been replaced in the past year due to water ingress, however he disputes the water- the rusting on certain elements behind the dash say otherwise!
The issue I’m having is the front speakers are all mid and low, the tweeters don’t seem to be getting any...

As many of you probably know, the RT4 and RT5 have been abandoned by PSA since 2016. The maps we've got have certainly become a bit long in the tooth sooner than many of the cars themselves. Now, since it's possible to mod maps to an RNEG or NG4 system using map updates from BMW's CIC Premium system, perhaps there might be a way to add more modern...

Hi just bought a 2008 C5 VTR+ with I think a RT4 Navidrive unit, Problem is it’s been setup with Polish as its language! I can't find a way to change it to English? Do I need a firmware cd? If so, where can I get one?
Tony

Hello everyone,

I have a Peugeot with an RT4 system (no USB port) which was working perfectly until a few days ago.
Suddenly, the radio stopped booting and started showing the screen asking to Please Insert Upgrade CD (photo attached).
The system was running firmware version 4.52 before this happened.
I tried using a CD with firmware version...

Hello
I have some problems with the speakers, the car had the JBL system from the factory, but the speakers are already broken, does anyone know what specifications they had so I know which ones to buy more or less?

Hi
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this problem, I'm a newbie, but desperate for some help. Here's the problem: 2007 Peugeot 407sw recently purchased with original RT4/5 software (7.01) and maps. I obtained a genuine FW 8.31 disc and updated. All appeared to go well and the update completed with everything working - except the...

So I very recently got a car with the RT4 head unit (Peugeot 407). I went into the RT4s menu to enable the AUX option, and upon doing so the headunit screen went blank, and it's not come on again since.

I've tried disconnecting the battery for 30 mins and reconnecting to no effect, and also tried pressing dark mode and the eject button for 10...

My C5 X7 suddenly showed this error. It was working no problem the day before. Got in the car and now I see this.

What would have triggered it and how do I fix it?

Hi,
my display at RT4 start dying (Peugeot 308 SW T7 2009).
During drive display will lose partial picture on display.
I am pretty sure it is issue with cable since it will get fix if I tap it few times on top of screens (or get worse sometime until it get better).

Local dealer ask 150 euro for fixing it.

So I wonder if there is any Android...

Hello! I have a question if somebody already did this. Does anyone put a reverse camera on the rt4 and to have displayed the camera when is reversing?
I want to buy and install a reversing camera because it is more easy to drive like this, and because the car is big it would help me a lot.
How can I connect it to the car? I already found some...

I have rt3-evo

The HDD it's good no bad sectors.
I tried last time ever full format.

Hello! I have a 2008 Citroen C5 Exclusive LHD with the HIFI Phillips package and since I purchased the car back in December, I noticed that the only speakers that are working are the two front door ones. The dashboard tweeters, the rear tweeters and speakers and the subwoofer do not work. I got the speakers tested and they do actually work when...

Hello,

I recently purchased a used RT3ev unit that was previously installed in a Citroen C5 X7. My vehicle, however, is a Citroen C4 3-door model VIN: V7LARFNC74290309, originally equipped with an RD4 radio. I'm facing a couple of issues and would appreciate any assistance:

Language Options: I've noticed that the language options on the RT3ev...

Hello,
I have RT4 ( unit but I can not get information about Firmware version by holding Menu button!
If I hold Menu button for more than three seconds, I get only HELP menu and there is no information about Firmware version...

Is there some other way for checking firmware version?

Thank!

Hi and sorry for another request for help...

Everything was working great so far with the Citroen C6 and the changed RT4 unit. Until today. The RT4 won't remember the date and time. Once the settings are saved and the motor is turned off, the data is lost (once the car and the RT4 starts again it shows a completely wrong date in 2000 and...

Hi, maybe someone had similar problem as me and can help. I have citroen c5 x7 with RT4 system. The sound quality is poor and it seems that front speakers almost have no sound. I have an odd problem on my RT4 unit (on the Citroen, but I don’t think it is model dependant).

With lockdown I have not used the satnav since December but now when I access the maps it says “No Satellites visible” the height reading also stays blank ( but I believe it is not an altimeter but takes heights from the mapping.) Oddly the map still...

Hi,

I’m fairly new to this so please be gentle ! I hope a picture or a link is attached which should show the screen problem I have got on the RT4 system on my 2008 C8 2.2 HDi 173.

The 1” band appeared first a year or so ago and comes up intermittently with no obvious cause. It has progressively got worse and is now permanently black.

Has...

Hi guys,

My satnav has developed a strange fault. It won't/can't pick up sataliites. As a result the map is useless and the car thinks its in a filed near Daventry!
The bottom of the screen usually lists number of satalites as 9 but is currenlty showing zero. I've tried a BSI reset and I've checked connections from aerial to loom above the head...

Hi. I have the same problem on my c5 tourer 2009. I have the phone symbol on the steering wheel but in the car menu I don't see the phone symbol to make the Bluetooth connection. what do i need to do?

Hi all, can anyone shed some light on my Bluetooth connectivity?
I have a 2008 x7 with navi and screen, on the screen there is a phone icon and it displays some call information so I assume a previous owner once had a phone connected to it but I cannot figure out how to delete previous connections or make a new connection.
I’m not really too...

Hi everyone! I've recently bought this HIFI system for my car. I have 4 woofer, 4 tweeters and the amplifier. I don't have the subwoofer. From the above diagram I've (almost) managed to understand which wire is which... However, I have the following questions:

1. Where do I connect CAN+, CAN High and VAN low?
2. Where do i connect the rear left...

Uh oh it's taking an occasional new wobble!

Restarting there and the satnav was inoperable. Shows the following: 20220211_173250.jpg

And no response from any button.

Sound from the aux input still there.

It seemed to reboot and the red led cam on fire a few seconds. It seems to be working fine again but I'm getting worried that the HDD is...

It did the same on the way home, I should have...

My car is 2009 C5 X7 with RT4 navigation system. I now have an opportunity to buy a RT5 radio without the navi display (which I already have in my car).

Does it work ok with the old display? Is the display part number actually the same with both nav systems?

Thanks!

Couldnt find much info on the subject. I found a donor car with the forementioned rt5 unit. Im thinking of swaping my RNEG, cause im tired of listening to cds. Browsed the internet and in the french forum they say its a straight swap with some telecoding/bsi changes, can anyone confirm that?

Thanks!

Hello All,

I have recently bought a C4 Grand Picasso with the RT4 Navidrive unit. I was wondering how to add an Aux input and USB to this system. I understand there is an Aux lead that can be bought that plugs into the back of the system, however, it appears this port is already in use! But by what? It seems to be part of the main wiring loom for...

Hello everybody. As per title says I want to enable USB connection on my RT4 navigation system. The actual model of the navigation system is RT3eV-N3-Q1 which has an internal HDD and as far as I read about it is considered a RT4 (or did I got that wrong?)

Okay, so what I've done so far: removed the unit, improvised a connector from an old USB...

What upgrade options are available without extensive modifications (with or without replacing the screen)

Looking for the cable connecting the dvd/hard drive to the RT4 motherboard to repair a friend's unit. Are these sold separately? Would a laptop cable connecting only the disk work? Connection to motherboard looks similar.

Hello all!

Just picked up my Citroen C5 Exclusive last week. Brilliant car and super silky smooth suspension, love it.

The previous owner told me that the RT4 unit packed in and so it was replaced by a complete unit (screen and head unit) sourced by themselves. The only problem....the unit only has Polish language
