Hi,

I know it’s an old thread/news now, but I did this yesterday without removing the clutch pedal. It’s not easy and very fiddly. But I managed to tease out the old filter dated 2015, on a 2012 car. The end cap had no screws in so it had been done at least once, this clipped back in fine without the screws also, I’ll check if it’s popped off...

Please don't make multiple posts of the same question, it just causes confusion.

That was my first approach, I really didn't want to pry anything more than the diffusers. Unfortunately the bulbs are in there surprisingly snugly. I had to apply a surprising amount of force from the back with the spudger. You definitely can't do it with fingers. I didn't think of blue tack, but I'm not sure it'll work. Thank you! I just changed mine. For the cigarette lighter, that one is not easy. It's a maroon socket that is pretty hard to detach and you run the risk of breaking it if it's cold. This one is from my small mod to add a secondary, surface mounted socket so I can use my large phone charger in the front.

Sadly, no ... It's a 2.2hdi auto and most other parts are good but the DPF pump are tank are shot and can't get good ones anywhere, which is why I'm breaking it. Alternator, disks, tyres all excellent.
Incidentally, forgot to say that I drilled the hole as, apparently, the window has failed twice in the past so it's an in-case-it happens-again fix.

Bear in mind the 'Detection Packs 1 & 2 on the X7 included the Parking Space Gap Measurement David, so had the additional outer front sensors on the wings. There is a different ECU for this system and it may expect sensor input from those sensors to operate. If it detects these 2 additional sensors missing, then it may throw a wobbly, though I...

Might be worth adding that it's a good idea when attaching the glass screws, to not tighten then fully up straight away.

Leave a bit of movement in them, then run the window up and down a few times to make sure it's in the right position. Then tighten the screws up.

Yes excellent write up on these Chris; people really need to be informed of the cheap rubbish that is out there. It makes the job four times longer than needed with all the returns and reordering and refitting involved.

Hi Sorry can't tell you the service times for Cam-Belt changing but, typically most car manufacturers give mileage & time contraints, so even if you can has not achieved the mileage typically I would replace a belt at least once in 10 years -could be expensive if you don't.

If you use your petrol ecu on top of the derv pump there be no issues.. a pump is a pump its the ecu thats important and car matched

I doubt they stopped using paper manuals, this thing covers stuff like timing chains/belts torque settings fuses brakes etc for a lost of European cars.

I notice in your photos that your electric door mirror switch is the same as mine. I always thought mine was aftermarket as it doesn't match very well!

You need a patch lead. Unfortunately I don't think you'll find a ready made one. It'll be a case of getting a set of plugs from a Xantia with wires still attached and putting din plugs on the other end.

You need to get it on Diagbox to see what it is upset about - there are 2 users with the software listed in NI, but neither have been active recently (see so you are probably left with taking it to the dealer, or buying your own kit (for around the same price as a code read at the dealer!).

PSA done away with the 'double' relay around 2001/2002 with the introduction of Com2000, the double relay is now integrated into the under bonnet fuse box (or BSM unit as its known).

isp thanks for the information i started another post earlier saying i was going to replace the crank shaft sensor as the engine had stopped altogether.and yes you where right it was the crank sensor .since i replaced it the car is spot on . thinking back it had a intermittent fault on the engine for some time but now every things ok .again thanks...

Just tried connecting lexia to car again and connected for short time got half way through global report and lost communication tried again and again same thing happens all time but is OK when I use on 09 berlingo xtr
