The RT3 was available in a few different hardware versions, the later ones supporting MP3 playback. These units had an optical connection to the Display Screen.

Has anyone here managed to replace their RD45 CD-radio with an android auto or Apple carplay system with reversing camera?

For a while now I've had a problem with my 407 not receiving calls. It's odd. The phone is paired, if someone rings me the car rings. When I accept the call nothing comes through the car and reverts to the phone. I can ring out though via the car. Tried with various phones, all Android. Thanks for the reply Marc. I have carried out most of what you've mentioned previously but possibly not in the right order. I think I'll ask a mate who's got an old phone with the correct size sim card for my old Nokia which worked before I have to backing up the phone then start re deleting the bloatware cobblers.

Hi all,

Would anyone be kind enough to give me an option or two on my 2006 Xsara Picasso. Radio works fine, but CD loads CDs then just says 'LOAD CD' and nothing happens. It does accept them and eject, but just won't play.

I want to play either CDs or use USB, but don't particularly want to put in a modern head unit, especially if it interferes...

I have lost the rubber extension to the aerial at the centre rear of the roof. I replaced it temporarily with the like item from one of my other Citroen cars. The radio reception is quite adequate with or without this extension. Are they in fact superfluous?

When my phone disconnects (eg I turn off bluetooth) from my Berlingo's wave 3 multimedia screen; it automatically switches on the radio at whatever volume I have it on. This happens a few times a day and drives me crazy. I never listen to the radio. Anyone know of how to prevent this or how to silence/disable just the radio?

Hello. I recently purchased a Peugeot 607 2005 and i wonder if anyone knows how to use those rca connectors from the glovebox (White,Red,Yellow). I ve tried using a red-white RCA to 3.5mm audio jack but it does not work.
I tried searching for a way to activate those rca ports but i could not find anything in the menu.

Is there anything i can do...

The system is over 20 years old now, so you have to expect limitations.

You'll probably need a small audio jack to RCA converter to use this using, the Left / Right RCA sockets only and select the audio source once you have a physical connection to a device.

First I've heard of this issue, apart from over-heating, but that would first reduce the volume of the audio to reduce heat from the internal amp. The actual restarting or not switching on may be operating system based (SD card or internal hardware.

Yes - all in the manual that Stu :-D Only FAT32 currently supported.

There are plenty of utilities that will do this and even Windows will allow you to do it if you know how using the command prompt.

As has been discussed elsewhere, I have a 2008 C4 Picasso with Hands Free Kit and an RD4. That means it has calls-only Bluetooth.

There's a Phone button in the lower left block of the steering wheel that opens...

hey, everyone, my factory radio come with the wired carplay, it works well and it is the feature that I uses most frequently. But some of my friends all have the wireless carplay by installing aftermarket radios.

I signed up to this forum due to this post. I actually bought CPlay2Air unit due to the recommendation above but was disappointed to find out that it did not work with my Peugeot 5008. Then went and bought an carplay unit from EKIY ( So far so good. Wife can also use her S21 as well which works fine, as long as i disconnect first.

After a long struggle (and many scratches) I had to give up about fitting the module beneath the existing Nav system so now it's sitting in the glove box.

What features you can retain (if any) will be dependent on the capabilities and compatibility of the after-market unit you are intending to fit, as the telematic Head Units are very much integrated into the vehicle. My cars (peugeot 307) head unit is really quite basic but i would like to keep it as it's an integral part of the vehicle, i would however like to add a few extras, some of which i already own from previous vehicles.

I have recently bought a 2011 Citroen C3 Connexion (1.4 Petrol) for my son to learn to drive in and with the help of some posts on this (and similar) forums I’ve been able to resolve a number of issues including updating firmware for the Audio unit, replacing the exterior temperature sensor, and replacing the GPS antenna. Hello all, I bought myself a 60 plate 3008 Exclusive 2.0 diesel. I was going through the settings and a message popped up saying phone not connected. I went into the Bluetooth menu but the option to search for Bluetooth device was pixilated out and the other Bluetooth options didn't respond. Any suggestions where I'm going wrong? TiA

Hello there

Peugeot 508 2017 GT version... Car was parked outside for two weeks. Temperature below 0 to -6

Middle touch screen was warm to touch when after driving 30 minutes I have notice the smudge in the middle.

Everything is visible only you can see there is some smudge when sun shining.

After car is off see the picture?

All right after work 2 weeks the car was parked outside. From the cold start I though that it is fixed but it did appeared again after 30 minutes driving. But I had like couple of hours drive in front of me so after 60 minutes from cold start it was getting smaller. Probably 2 hours it was gone.

Since then it did not came back....

Activating themes on SMEG+

In Diagbox there are no options anymore to activate themes to my SMEG+ on my 308 GT 2015. I am sure i got at least 3 themes visible before in the theme options in SMEG+.
Now i only have redline and the COLOR button in menu stays grey... Except of that one, there are no other themes in system. I tried manual telecoding on Diagbox and in SMEG+ ->...

Just a quick reply to my question. I had a RNEG with no audio, every thing else perfect. I found the problem was the audio chip but there are two similar chips, one for 2Ω the other 4Ω. I found the correct one which was the 4Ω, so that is the impedance.

Installing a JBL spare wheel enclosed subwoofer in a 09 C5 x7 estate. The woofer suport both RCA and high level input.

Im thinking about splitting the signal going from the floor into the rear door speaker. Would this be a viable solution? And do the cables have any color coding or labling to look for?

I own a Peugeot 407 coupe, 2010 with RT5 on it. I read somewhere that is possible with some modifications to install a NAC on the car. I suppose i will need the new screen 9825031680, NAC source -9821908980 and one cable adapter to convert from CAN 2004 (my car) to CAN 2010-NAC interface mode.

Wrong map color after SMEG Nav Update

I lost the maps after reinstalling a SMEG, not sure why, so I reinstalled the maps from a USB key.
Installation went ok, I just installed one map because its slow. The map is installed and working
but the colors are all weird and the car icon is missing (blank square instead).

Hi there,

I've read every forum regarding the sound disappearing. I've checked speaker connections, amp connections,
smeg connections, resetting BSI, etc. I'm sure it's a SMEG related problem because if I put another working
SMEG in the car the sound works.

So any idea what could cause the SMEG to suppress any sound ? I guess that's a component...

I telecoded my VIN number to a 2sd hand SMEG I bought to replace my malfunctioning one.
The telecoding seems to have worked has the annoying security bip disappeared.
Problem is that now the SMEG is rebooting in a loop after a few seconds of being on ...

I've tried recoding the oroginal VIN of the SMEG. It worked, bip has returned,...

Problem solved ! By formatting the GPS maps SD card.
I suspect the maps when installed are associated to the VIN or something like that.
That does not explain why when I've tried to go back to the original VIN the SMEG was
still rebooting. Any way. Problem solved. Just have to reinstall the maps on the empty
SD card.
