I have just purchased a cheap 04 plate 1.4 scenic........there are a few issues,nothing really major,on the dash when I picked it up this morning,there were messages saying check airbag and check parking brake......got it home and I plugged in my little basic code reader, it showed one fault, I cleared the fault and that got rid of the airbag...

These shoes have part number 4193.21 stamped on the back of them. Does anyone know what on earth they are off? Could either be a 4, 5 or 6 of indeterminate vintage. They are front axle shoes.

Clutch pedal dropped to floor with a snapping sound, managed to coax it home, found a piece of broken black plastic on floor of van, trying to remove the cable so I can see the end of the cable that fits to the clutch pedal but cannot work out how it comes apart, any help please

Ive changed plugs on a range of cars but am stumped by this clio and searching on youtube brings up different looking engines. Heres an image of an engine bay like mine:

Does the Megane mk1 have just 1 belt for the timing or does it have a separate timing/ alternator belt?

Can anybody help and any tips on changing the timing belt.

hello, iv got a 2000 clio 1.6 16v which iv been using for track days.

noticed it was a little temper-mental on starting last time i used it but it did always start. now i unlocked with remote started it earlier with no problems. turned it off then it wouldnt start again, tried locking the car with the fob and nothing .central locking wont work...

My other car is a Twingo.... well it's the girlfriend's now, but guess who is still doing all the maintenance on it.

The rear brakes need sorting. They work fine, but the MOT bloke said that they would need doing soon and that was at least 3,000 miles ago, so I really should get onto it.

Has anyone removed a UCH control module from a Clio before? Tried to remove it on a mates 2003/03 Clio DCi, removed the bracket, unplugged the connectors and removed ritz screw behind fuse box cover, but it seems there are some wires going in to the TOP of the UCH which are fixed, is this right?

If so how on earth to you remove it?

We have a Megane 2 and its showing injection failure (in french or course).

It has done 280,000km.

Certain it is injection failure because opened the exit of the pump to take samples of diesel and sample had some metal and loads of cardboard.

This is probably where the metal has sandblasted parts of the filter around...
