Hi all I suspect I need a new fuel pump but not sure. Fired up yesterday and as much as I pumped the pedal I couldn't keep the engine going for longer than a few seconds. Today worse. It starts, catches and dies. When I turn on the ignition I don't hear the hum of a servo or pump (though not entirely sure I ever did)

Where is the pump? I looked...

With 70,000 miles behind it, I'm looking to replace the clutch on my 22 TRS sometime in the coming months.

Does anyone have the bits I need, by chance? Or know how I might find them? I bought a GTi clutch plate from eBay so I haven't got off to a very good start! :-)

New to the forum but previous owner of 4 XM's.

I've just bought my first CX, a 1985 EFI Familiale.

It runs well but starts badly and idles roughly. Basically, although it's injected, at acts on start up like it needs choke, so I have to pump the pedal a bit and it takes about 15 secs or so to settle down.

Even then, when it's idling it...

All good has now been found thank goodness.

I need the big securing bolt for my Alternator, it seems have been lost at place that refurbed it.

Any body out there have one?

Is there a way of finding out which type of steering joint my cx (g reg tgd safari) uses other than by removing it?

My mechanic thinks it's 'not the tapered one' but I still can't really tell from the pictures of the ones I've seen which is which.

Any thoughts gratefully relieved...

I'm the proud new owner of a tgd safari... (I've grown up imagining owning a safari so it's so cool to finally have one!) It's in amazing condition, but I do have a couple of concerns...

Hi, we`re after a n/s steering arm for a 77 CX (narrow track PAS)

So long story short, the valve unit of the gearbox was removed incorrectly allowing all the bits and piece to fall out. I have all of them, but can not be sure how they are meant to go together.
So if anyone know or has a diagram, it will literally be saving my cx from the scrapman.

Are the Series 2 single optic headlamps supposed to glow when switched to sidelights?

Mine (1988 TRS) doesn't do it (only the sidelights come on). I'm sure the headlights themselves are supposed to give off a low-level glow?

Has anyone had experience of this? Had the carpets up to dry them out so that's fine but... it seems the water is still getting in, with a small puddle in the rear compartment and a trail of water from behind the backrest. Boot inspection reveals water at the bottom of the back wall of the boot but nowhere else.

Hi, I have a series 1 CX which I have a replacement bumper for, but when i started swapping them over I realised the central beam which supports the bumper is a bit misshapen and crusty. During my reading I wondered if there has ever been published a detailed model history for the CX? I have read the basic info on Wiki & Citronet - but I can't seem to find anything which goes into more specification detail & differences between the models....

After a set of the domed wheel trims from the TRS. Anyone got some at the back of the shed? :-)

This item did not reach reserve @ 78 pound is ridiculous, call Vantage citroen if you want one 60 including delivery.

The strip-down commences! Spent all weekend pulling the old girl apart and it looks like a bigger job than planned... (isn't this always the case?!)

A few small holes in the sills, beautifully hidden by Citroen's exceptional rust trapping skills. All those bits of trim are perfect for sealing in the moisture eh!

I've just had a phone call from a (very good) bodyshop in the Chilterns, looking for an OSR door for a CX saloon. He's fairly sure it's an s2. If it's the car I think it might be, it's a one-owner magnetic blue GTi - but colour's unimportant. Condition of the tinwork, obviously, is.

Im currently stripping my Cx ready for its re-roof and respray and have investigated my heating system a bit more,
One of the control motors on the drivers side footwell has been left unplugged, when plugged in it moves ok but will not stop turning once it has turned its respective cog and therefore makes a clicking noise.
Any ides what this is?...
