This forum (and the BXC forum which runs on the same server) has been bombarded with requests from guest users using Vietnamese IP addresses. I noticed it yesterday and blocked several address ranges, but they have been even more prolific today, with a peak of about 5500 requests in one minute, which the forum database service could not handle.

Well I'm still working on them (I've got a 120 and 130 dCi) but both are now fault code free and it seems very good, comfy, all the creature comforts (inc 1KW electric heater!), good on fuel, pulls very well and can carry 5 empty pallets. Much nicer to ride in than the A Class I had. Towbar next for the small trailer.

Had a look underneath at the downstream o2 sensor on the pipe after the catalytic converter, and the wiring. Connections and wiring visually and mechanically OK. Reset the fault code and fault has not reoccurred as yet.

With all the rain and flooding and pools of water all over the place, maybe the electrical connections got a good drenching...

I just picked my my new car yesterday. It's an 09 Megane 1.5 dCi. A few things worry me.

a judder when in 5th doing 35 - 40 mph and 6th 40 - 45 under acceleration. Doesn't do it at any other speed or gear. I did run some diesel cleaner though it when I filled up with diesel today. I wonder if that my be the cause of the judder.

When you say a judder, is it the whole car, and poss the gear stick, if so it sounds like an inner driveshaft joint worn.

I am due to change the clutch and gearbox on my wifes 1998 1.2 clio, I had a read of the BOL and it says about pulling the boot back on the inner joint on the drive shaft and pull a clip out, Can the drive shaft not be removed in 1 piece straight from the gearbox ? Is there any other hints for the jobs ?

The N/S shaft has 3 13mm headed bolts holding the inner shaft in, some have a roll pin through the O/S shaft.
Biggest issue with old Renaults is dropping the subframe, usually the frame bolts spin and wont undo, from memory on the basic models , it is easier to turn the box so the bellhosing faces up, and lift it up from under the bonnet, this...

Megane Scenic II Auto brake problem

Hi, my 04 MkII Scenic 1.5 dci auto handbrake is making an awful squeeling sound (normally when on a hill) when it activates and says handbrake fault on the dashboard. Could it be that the cable has come off its normal route, un hooked itself or something? It works ok when on the flat though!! It has had full dealer servicing.

i,ve just brought a renault megane 1.6 3 door 03 plate with a
bad repair done to front bumber(car in colour is light
green code (ted99)bumper as been sprayed in that colour i think or similar but you can tell.just like to know weres the best place to get parts and what kind of price will i pay around(and for a right wing)

Hello, Does anyone know where i can get a diesel filter for my Megane 111 1.5 dci 2009. Renault want about £50.00. I think it is a Mahle kl485/5. My last Citroen cost about £5.00 to replace.

Hi, I have just been throught the car wash and found water dripping from the glovebox!!!! I think I could hear water swooshing around and now I am wodering if it is a blocked drain or something, OR something worse??? Is it a common fault??

thanks for he reply, I had looked under the wiper trim and like you say, both drain holes were blocked. Easily sorted and got me away from the wife for a couple of hours too.....

Hi All,

I was in a dilemma myself and this forum helped me get the right answer. I ordered lock bolt keys from Renault for £20 +VAT from the dealer and they were more than happy to oblige. I ordered it on a Tuesday and they said I'd have it by Friday, so as long as you have a few days to wait it's a good option.

Has anyone any idea how to reset the service indicator on a 2009 Megane 111 please. Any ideas how to change the fuel filter? I assume that it is in the container behind the washer bottle under the o/s wing.

What a nightmare took my scenic ii ( 2006 ) in for MOT today and the very nice man passed it with an advisory stating NEARSIDE INNER TRACK ROD BALLJOINT EXESSIVE PLAY now to me and you this means the stearing rack end ball joint ( Underneath the boot on the stearing rack ) ive got the part to replace it with but i cant get the originall one off...

Im hoping somebody can shed some light on my problem. My 2003 Renault Scenic 1.4 has been great for years and recently passed its MOT however yesterday i went to get into the vehicle and as usual i pressed the key and the central locking worked and it opened fine. I then tried to start the car and there was nothing, it did not even turn over, all...

Sounds like immobilizer issue. could be receiver just by internal mirror try key closer see if it opens or locks. check fuse for immobilizer.

Our latest project. We've worked out the head and all that but how does the crank pulley go back together? Its in two bits and has no apparent fixing between them, nor any reference point for the timing!

Hi, I'm looking to replace the seats in my Kangoo van, good ones are way overpriced for my liking, so wonder if Megane (or another vehicle) front seats would fit without too much hassle. I'm not averse to making adjustments or adapting if needs be .... 8-)
