The official interval is 10 years / 112k, but they like to break early so 8 years / 80k is safer. It's not a hard belt to do and the engine is very common, so any competent garage will be able to do it, about £400 using a decent belt kit.

D5S are totatlly different to all other kinds of HID Bulbs.
They are connected straight to 12V so a plug & Play replacement is suiteable and my car is working with LED's without any issue.

P2566 Code is only seen as obd reader connected other else no caution on dashboard. Also no power loss.

In late 2005 the C3's went from a VAN BUS (Vehicle Area Network) to CAN BUS (Controller Area Network) network structure. The COMs units are NOT compatible. The cars are colloquially known as pre-facelift and facelift. Yours will be a facelift car (CAN BUS).
Looking at the COMs units, to tell them apart, look at the date of manufacture and the horn...

I have found a replacement head with cams. Not in the best of condition, but better than existing. I am going to clean up, inspect and hope for the best. Photos to come, especially of the surface rust from the cams where they have been sitting for a while.

Similar problem but not continuous. I bought an x7 estate last year which appeared to be in good condition but the DPF was not working, clouds of soot when pushed hard, eventually clears. I went to check for dpf fluid and it didn't look as though it had ever been topped up, the 10mm stud which secures the cover was rusted solid, I had to break it...

Mine was changed at its last ever dealer service - I only had it done to maintain the warranty - at 45,000 miles. It was on the schedule.

Old thread but would like to agree with what you say about the shortcomings of aftermarket products.

It's just over 100k miles now, thought I'd give it a little clean before it (may) clogs up completely.

I had the same issue, found out it was a low tension on the main power supply of the pump. I just added an alternative wire (fused) and cut the orignal one. Check also here:

Just to add to this now that the Citroen garage have inspected it. (The alert has continued to come in first thing in the morning, but not every day).

They advised a software update is required to fix the alert triggering. They also inspected the belt and it failed a width test so they have said that needs changing and the oil pump strainer...

Cause = Age.....it is 20-13 year old foam that lives in a very harsh environment and subjected to considerable loads..

Nothing can keep age away............
