My DS5 was written off the other week today I got a new to me C5 aircross on a 20 plate. Everything was fine until I got home. I went to put the child seat in and noticed the eear window on the passenger side half way open. I tried to close it and it goes up and then back down. I checked and there is nothing in rails like debris etc, sprayed wd40 and moved it up and down but as soon as it goes all the way up to drops again. Checked a few videos on YouTube and tried to "reset" the anti pich by holding the button down once it is all the way day for 5sec and then the same once it is up but it doesn't stay up. Any thoughts / help please?
Many thanks
Panos

Your best bet may be to take the door card off and the problem may become obvious

Try locking the car with your remote control but keep your finger on the button. This should cause all electric windows to close. Maybe this will cause a reset somehow.

Obvious as to???the window goes up and down and there is no grinding noise or anything. Could you please elaborate to what could potentially be obvious?mickthemaverick wrote: 07 Jun 2026, 10:58 Your best bet may be to take the door card off and the problem may become obvious![]()

Not having looked at one on your model myself I can't say anything specific but if you watch the window mechanism working with the card off you may spot a detent not latching or a tooth missing on the drive mechanism etc.
You may also get some ideas from this: https://www.wheelsjoint.com/citroen-c5- ... -to-reset/

If not the anti pinch then possibly one of the switches that opens it thinks it is being pressed to open. If so a switch may need its contacts cleaning. If bought from a dealer I would take it back to be covered under the warranty. You could also switch off the rear door switches at the driver's door and just use the driver's door one to see if it makes a difference.
