Due to excessive server loading caused by some badly behaved 'bots' (automated content collectors), I have changed the anti-ddos settings on the site to be much more aggressive.

This has had the desired effect of reducing the server loading from 100% to about 10% (the other 90% was coming from just 8 IP addresses located in China).

Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

I have a problem with the suspension on my C5 X7 2,0 aut. I have changed the 2 front spheres but it's still very hard as if its constantly in SPORT mode. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Can it be an electric fault? It is only hard in the front and normal in the rear.

I just put a new window mechanism in my x7.

Reset the anti pinch. But, the window only goes up after it has gone down.

If i open the window a small amount and then try to close it, it will open to halfway. Try again at halfway and it opens fully.

When it's open fully I can close it like normal.

I assume it's something to do with the anti...

The suspension is definitely softer compared to the German and Japanese family cars but not as close as I was expecting to the traditional Citroen feeling (even the X7 with 19 wheels felt softer). No electric seats (think that's a rarity in the eC4 world) but otherwise equipment more than enough (Shine Plus).

I have recently got a little niggle with my Xantia 1.9TD.
When starting from cold It needs a few more cranks than usual. Also runs a bit rough for about 15 seconds.

Tired leakoff pipes? try squeezing the primer bulb before attempting the first startup, see if it makes a difference. The needle lift sensor is built into one of the injectors ISTR, one of the simple diagnostics was to disconnect it, they run slightly different if its working.

In the meantime I checked the battery state of charge with my launch diag. The maximum state of charge is 85%. When the battery reaches this state, the system will reduce the charging current, or shuts off completely.

Even if I thought that is the master wiper motor, it was the other one, the passenger's one. I found maybe 4-5 cm of rotten leaves and dirt. In that was the wiper motor sitting.

No worries - best of luck. When there's no gas, you have no suspension apart from the air in the tyres. The LDS fluid is not compressible, so if there is no nitrogen gas inside the sphere membranes (which is compressible), the LDS fluid has nothing to push up against except the cylinder casing, giving no springing and the rock hard effect.

Hello guys, here again, I have a problem with my citroen c5. It won't raise to the normal drive height. It happen on the way to work, I got the message on board ,,Suspension fault max 90km/h ,, I know what this message means, that the fuse is bad and have no power to the pump.

I check the maxi fuse and everything is ok. I disconect the battery...

Not sure if I posted this previously. I fixed a sagging Xantia tank using a short length of 110mm plumbing waste pipe. With the tank empty, measure and work out the height required. Cut pipe to this length, then also cut it through along the length. It can now be squeezed down to go inside tank, then opened out a bit to seat on the base, and round...

Clunky Steering

I'm being told that instead of it being a worn inner tire rod on the left hand side, it is the full rack needing repaired/replaced.

When the steering gets to almost full lock left there's a heavy clunk you can feel on the drivers floor and it's creaking lock to lock. The clunk is definitely coming from the left side though. I'm inclined to just...

Generally speaking there is usually a plastic bush inboard of the inner track rod, often replaceable in situ, if you could replace that too while you were in there you will have covered all eventualities.

Our Citroen Relay (2008) started showing the door open sign on the dash which meant we weren’t able to lock our van using central locking (this has left the sliding door and passenger door permanently open).

Hi, I wonder if I could seek advice on a de-pollution problem with my 2007 C5 1.6 HDi. It is in limp mode and has the following issues logged when connected to diagnostics.
Short circuit to earth of the additive pump power stage.
PO245 Turbo pressure electrovalve control.

On a separate diagnostic read- Remote Fault
Permanent Fault

Could also be separate faults. Turbo electrovlve is a pretty common issue on ye olde 1.6 HDI 16V.
It sits on the back right corner of the engine

Hi.

So it's time for a new research to keep me busy with my C5X7 tourer....

After solving A/C (condenser fan) problem, rear passenger door hinge replacement, my citron gave me a new reason for headache. Rear wiper and washing for boot glass starts to spray and wipe on it's own, without being triggered by me. Any ideas where to start searching...

Whilst checking Fred over I found LHM leaks again. 1 at the rear, possibly the height corrector (changed it for a secondhand one last year), and 1 from from the pipe that goes from LHM tank to pump (couple of years old and made of horrible metal weaved-covered pipe). Shouldn't be too much trouble, except I lent on the coolant 3 way pipe/ pressure...

I'm looking at purchasing a 2010 dispatch van but the mileage history is a bit odd - the seller says that the garage has taken the wrong number to fill in the total mileage. Can the bottom number only display total mileage or can it scroll through different info?

Be aware that after removing the battery it can change to kms instead of miles. It can be changed back in the display settings. Mu Dispatch gad a weird MOT mileage for one year. It was showing kms.

Hi,
The same issue came back..... Is it possible that economy mode is causing it all (it shows up second i turn the ignition on, the voltage of the battery is 12.4 something like that)? Like the last time, the car starts for 1s. And then shuts-off. If i keep it on the starter and press gas it starts up until i release the pedal... Please help. Or...

Have you checked if the immobiliser is recognising the ignition key ? Leave the key in the ignition and open the driver's door, most cars give a warning about the key if recognised.

Silent rear speakers

I have a c3 built 2021 with a standard built in radio.The rear speakers are very silent whatever I do in settings .Tried rear front settings to .The rear speakers are getting a max of 2 volts by full power .It was measured with an osiloscope.what can be the problem .Thank you

Grateful for recommendations on what oil to go for and where to obtain same, along with filters without having to travel too far and/or subject myself to any stress. Planning to do the job next week...
