Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

I've been recently having probs with getting to site.

When I click on a topic (thread) that i've read before but one that has new posts in it, the forum always takes me to the first page of that topic. Most other forums will take me to the page containing unread posts. Is there a setting somewhere which will take me to the page containing unread posts when I click on a topic?

The server is moving house Tuesday and as such from around midnight tomorrow will be down until broadband is activated at the new property, hopefully by noon.

I quite like this forum, and wondered if it would be possible to have a dedicated C4 sub section please?

I know there is C4 owners, but I find that forum very tricky to navigate and thought having a sub forum on here might be a useful addition now a few more people are getting their mitts on them.

Would be a nice feature with just a short link to the subject as well as i don't think the other links are needed and if someone wants to unsubscribe they wont get any other notifications after the first one??

Guys, am I the only one having terrible troubles with the forum in the last week or two, to the point that its nearly unusable ? :(

I don't mean the complete absense of the forum which after a few hours gets replaced with the holding page, I mean the constant intermitent connection timeouts to the server, which are still happening as of this...

There are several outages planned for maintenance this month.

04-06-13 New server
After over 6 years of service (roughly 4 of them hosting the forum), running pretty much 24/7, I am retiring the internals of the current server and replacing them with a spanking new motherboard, memory and CPU.
I'm also going to be upgrading the OS.
So at some...

As some of you may have noticed, the forum hasn't been it's usual reliable selve since O2 upgraded their broadband in this area.
I'm working on returning to normal service, but there will be times when the site will not be available (especially when O2 provide duff router settings like today) and I apologise in advance.

Due to the main FCF webserver being down due to power issues, you are now viewing the emergency/contingency FCF hosted on a different server.

It is based on the most recent backup from 02:00 this morning.

Appologies for the prolonged outage, I noticed on Friday night that the forum server was not behaving itself, and in an attempt to reboot it remotely, I inadvertantly hit the shutdown button rather than the little up arrow next to it to get to the reboot button. :oops:
Once up on my return this afternoon, the server kept rebooting after I logged...

Members using AOL browser or linking from AOL will most likely have problems reaching this forum.

Ever since we started the discussions forum, AOL have been a problem, because the forum software used in the past - and the PHP software used now - is optimised for the de facto standard browser *Microsoft Internet Explore (IE) * version 5, 6 or 7....

When I try to send a PM, it says sent, but the message stays in my Outbox and does not appear in my sent box. What am I doing wrong?

I have encountered it a couple of times in the recent past, when lots of PMs have been received rapidly.

The citroen and xantia word corrector dooby, I'm not really a fan of it myself, throws a bit of a spanner in the works for URLs. It rules out easy access to vince's photobucket and Old Guy's Xantia pages for a start!

Board Preferences in the User Control Panel Mike.
There are radio buttons for notification by email and popup.
Popups don't work for me as the browser blocks them, yours may be the same. There is an option to allow certain ones and one day I will admit them.

About 2 and a half long hours ago I noticed the forum was down due to database errors.
The main database had become corrupt and required a restore from backup.
Consequently all posts, including PMs made from 2am on the 22nd June have been lost.
Sorry about that.

For reasons that I don't yet fully understand, The AOL mail system is rejecting all mail from the forum.

This means that any new members who use AOL and try to sign up to this forum will never receive their activation email and thus will never be able to activate their newly created accounts.

This seems to only affect AOL but I'm watching...

Ive been with Aol since 2001 to 2012. Basicly they have gone aload of crap now so stay well clear of them. Im about to change so somebody else now its well over due.

Im going to Bt more then likley due to were I live I cant get certon isp deals so Bt will be best for my option.

On the 12th May I will be having BT Infinity installed. It is with a heavy heart that I leave O2 broadband, they've been great with no network outages, and brilliant customer/technical services, especially with how much effort they put into trying to resolve their internal network routing issue which prevents some other O2 customers reaching the...

Not sure if its just me or not, but what on earth has happened to the fourm???

Has the engine been changed from a V6 to a 1.6i petrol... it is SOOOOOOOO SLOW... its barely worth useing at the moment..

It used to be lightening fast... not so much now.. :( :cry:

I've just joined and have composed some PMs today. When I clicked on 'submit' the system said that the PM had been sent successfully. However it did not appear in my 'sent messages' folder. Instead it remained in my 'outbox'. It must have been sent because I've received replies. So am I right in deducing that messages remain in the 'outbox' until...
