I found a full leather interior and bought and fitted it to my car.
All was good and working till I sat on the driver seat. Although fitted correctly, there is a lot of play, so much so that when you pull away at a traffic light you rock back in the seat about 3/4 inch!
So I thought of removing the leather bottom cushion and leather back rest and fitting it to the seat chassis of the old seat as that is in better condition.
Does anyone have a diagram or a guide of how to remove the bottom cushion and back rest from the seat chassis please?
The vin number on my car is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
The new seats have a switch and wiring for the heated element for which there is a plus in the wiring loom...I’m not fussed about this working or not.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted!
Thanking you in advance...

Re: C5 mk2 2004 replacement seats
The seats need to come out - all the underside clips and trim have to be removed.... I've put the stripping procedure here - just use what you need to do the job - but be mindful of the airbags - disconnect the battery and allow 15 minutes for the Airbag ECU to discharge before starting work on them.
Remove the front seat. Disengage the elastic holders , as "a". Release the lower trim ( 1). | Remove:
Remove the outer cover ( 5). |
Remove:
| (13) Blind with map pocket. (14) Trim profile. (15) Seat backrest cover. (16) Seat backrest frame. (17) Side airbag . (18) Head restraint guides. Unclip:
|
(19) Seat cushion frame. (20) Seat cushion cover. " e" : Seat cover side clip. " f" : Seat cover front clip. Unclip the seat cushion cover ( 20) (at "e" and "g" on each side and at "f" on the front). Remove the seat cushion cover ( 20). |
