Come on folks, lets have something more interesting or as equally uninteresting as my water meter.

I had a strip down job in the garage today and this is what I found:
Own work
Own work
Own work
Own work
Any ideas what this is? :)

Points go to Bobins, it is indeed the pump from a Hozelock 130 pressure washer. The lift part of the drive cam arrowed in the first picture had worn down to the point of no lift left on the three pistons, arrowed in second picture, when connected together. Result lots of spin but no pumping. I have removed the motor for future use in something as yet to be designed and recycled the rest. RIP!! :)

So in the tradition of parlour games the winner of the last one starts the next perhaps?

That tallies nicely with karate grading :D

So.. Blue for 1000 Posts, red for 2000 Posts, orange for 3000, yellow for 4000, green for 5000, purple for 6000, Purple and white for 7000, brown for 8000, brown and red for 9000 and for 10,000 black (Shodan) !!!

That makes me a Sandan...
This being my 9,000 th post, a celebratory POTD is required.

Your mission should you decide to accept it is to follow on from this random picture and take us on a chain of further random links just for amusement.

Wouldn't have known but did stumble across it on the wiki "9000" page.

Minor detour to 9001 seeing as this is as of now my 9001' th post
appropriately presented as a load of balls

Now to take up your tenuous link challenge, I offer this quote:

At the 2011 census Edmonton had almost 9,000 residents of Turkish or Turkish Cypriot heritage

which both links to your picture and celebrates the achievement!!
