Cruse plug ?....looks like it.
If this plug is present will that indicate that the other parts of the loom (for the other components) are present as well do you think ?

Although it looks like the connector for the cruise stalk, the one wire code visible does not match the diagrams that Jim posted here: viewtopic.php?p=415666#p415666

To be sure Alasdair, look under the wing for the tow connector for the compressor/valve block... One will be a blue connector and the other a triangular three-pin job in a rubber boot that looks like an H4 headlamp connector...

Going to place the added Cruise-Control Pump & Dump-Valve on the inner front right wing.
20180310_150721.jpg
It seems to be a protected area, saves running wires across the front of the car....now to work out the best place to run the 5 wires into the car.

What is the best entry into the cabin from the engine bay (r-side) ?

I hate having the car in bits !

Fitting cruise using parts from a Uk sourced V6 Exclusive Auto to a manual gearbox S1.v6 car
Need:
Cruise pump, Cruise Vac-Dump Valve, connectors/loom (as much as you can get), S1-type Cruise ECU (s2 are different) Auto Brake peddle.

The problem:
Only the cabin loom was fitted, twin contact brake switch and no clutch switch. Missing is the engine bay loom, this cannot be "added" as you cannot get access to the main connector block without removing the dash.
The solution:
Change the mounting point from the inner left wing forward of the horns to the engine bay on the right side by the ECU box and use the screen wash filling neck bolts to secure.
IMG_20180317_145144.jpg
The problem:
It is not possible to get the wires into the cabin via the door tubes. (noit even with the application on swear words !)
The solution:
Run the wires from the cruise pump and dump valve: One to earth in the engine bar (wing bolt), and the others in conduit to the bulkhead, down (clip to fuel lines) and under the subframe into the right side under car wire boxes, feed these up past the fuel tank exiting via the fuel pump wire grommet.
IMG_20180317_144656.jpg
Run these wires down the sill under the carpet to the Cruise ECU which is under the right-hand seat.

The problem:
Manual cars have twin contact brake peddle and no clutch switch.
The solution:
Order clutch switch from Citroen and remember to order the securing rings to go with :)
Disconnect and remove the brake peddle, fit the new clutch switch, fit the Auto brake peddle rotated 90deg (yes it fits and works :) ) and wire the new clutch switch in series with the brake peddle adding/using the additional 3rd wire. Run this extra wire (cruse "release" signal) in a rubber sheath for protection as it is live, over the peddles, down the edge of the dash/door/along the sill to the cruse ECU. Be warned, you will swear a lot and need to be "agile" to get to the connector. My advice is to get some very long reach plyers.
IMG_20180317_144453.jpg
Connect the Cruise Control Stalk and Isolator switch (plugs behind the instruments/under the wheel shroud.)

You now have 4 wires to cut into the cruise ECU connector plug. 3 from the engine bay and one from the brake/clutch peddle.
IMG_20180317_144611.jpg
You now have Cruise Control !.......all credit to Jim :)

One Touch passenger window wired
Source the ECU, fit it :)

As my car is a LHD I cannot give you the wire numbers, but you can see you just make a new earth, 1 x t-join and cut/join x3....easy once the numbers match.

Massive thanks to Jim and the guys on the ACTIVA Facebook group.

The manual brake switch with 3 contacts was also used on the XM, as top-spec manual cars had cruise, so with luck you can find one.

Finishing off the wiring using (c/o Volvo Truck) loom tape and original Citroen conduit

Fitted the modified dash instruments as well. Note the white tips to the main numbers. (and fixed bulbs :) )

more "putting back together" stuff.

Wheel arch ,inner wing etc all coated with Built & Hamber, with the arch liners off I took the chance to clean the calipers

I may even get out for a test of the Cruise Control tomorrow Jim, only the Radio to refit and the left side wheel arch liner.
If it is raining I may remove the driver's seat and swap out a switch (down control is broken, but I do not use it as it is always fully down being 6ft4in) and add a little foam to the side of the seat to stiffen the edge a little.
