Fuel gauge always showing full - Help!

Afternoon all,

I have brought a 2012 Citroen DS3 with a weird problem, the fuel gauge is always showing full on the instrument panel.

I have changed the fuel sender in the tank with no luck.

Please can I have some advice on what this might be?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram of this system?

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try plugging in the old sensor to the electrical connector and move the float up and down to see if it changes the gauge reading. If not then the wiring will need to be checked.

Could be a problem with the reverse switch or its wiring/connector. On our 2016 1.6 hdi Cactus the switch is located on the top of the gear box.

I've put a multimeter on the switch it's working. Voltage to the switch and linked out the switch still no joy.

I have recently bought a DS3 2015 1.6 Diesel. Unfortunately it didn't come with its manual and I am having some issues with the touchscreen radio. The two problems are as follow:

I have a 2.0 diesel, 2015 DS 5, with a shot outer CV joint on the driver side front. I have tried numerous places trying to get a CV joint with absolutely no luck.. why is it so hard to source one?
I managed to order one using my reg plate but it’s the wrong size (euro car parts).

Door doesn't open with touching the handle any more

As it says.
The auto unlock when you touch the door handle seems to be non functional now. I can still click the key button to unlock but can't open the door with the keys in my pocket any more.
Any idea?

Same issue C3 Aircross 2017 HDI. The thing is, neither front doors open without pressing the fob, drivers went first, then months later the drivers. The thing is, if you put the keys near the boot, they work perfectly, so the keyless proximity sensor towards the front MUST be the issue??? At least in my case.
But where is it located?

Hi,
I've just bought a 2016 DS3 1.2 puretech.
The touchscreen is cracked and can't be used.
Are they easy to replace?
If so, how can I tell which model screen I have? It looks like there are 2 different types depending upon the model year.

Could you post a photo of your radio and screen with the system switched on? I suspect you will have a SMEG or SMEG+ unit but this might help to positively identify it.

Out of interest, how did it get cracked? It's unusual for a touch screen to become completely unusable and not just really annoying!

When the sat nav or traffic data gives voice messages it automatically lowers the music level to background while it's speaking, maybe because telematics ECU not recognised it has caused it to be 'stuck' in this setting. Have you tried deactivating RDS mode and voice mode for the satnav?, this might help??

I've got a noise coming from my rear wheel.
I'm planning to change the wheel bearing however, I'm finding difficulties in sourcing them. A few places are tell me that the front bearings are the same as the rear? But the hub assembly is different.
Also is it more of a pain to change just the bearing, or should I just buy a complete rear hub?...

Yes, gearbox oil should be okay. In april at ~195 kkm I drained completely and filled with 2.1 l Shell Spirax S4 G 75W-80. The car is now at ~205 kkm

DS3 Exterior air temperature issue

Hi everyone, we have a 2018 DS3 1.2 110 Puretech auto with an outside exterior temperature issue. It's affecting icy exterior warnings, completely flummoxed the tyre pressure monitors etc.
I've replaced the sensor in the OS wing mirror and this has had no effect.
Sometimes the screen display shows a temperature close to the actual temperature but...

Probably a broken wire on the way to the mirror - either in the door connector or the mirror itself. If you unplug the sensor it should go to some low value (often -40) and if you short it out you should get some high value.

A few parts of the center console of my DS5 (manual) have peeled off, including the Start/Stop button. I refuse to think that i will have to change the full button or the console to repair it. Do any1 know of a place to buy some stickers to put on the console and the button? I have found the typical circular sticker, but looks awful....

So my clutch is definitely on the way out and think the flywheel too. When I search 2 different Valeo options come up. One asks for Transm type MC6 and Engine code DW10FD. I think this is the one I need but can't do D out where to confirm these codes.

My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

Hi . I recently changed the EGR valve as I had really poor starting and running but no fault codes. So I made an educated guess and plumped for the EGR. Purchased an NTY one from Autodoc. Getting the old one out was a nightmare but replaced it. Cleared the fault and it initially ran ok for about a day but now keeps coming up with the EGR fault...
