Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

On some of our vehicles (from mid-90s onwards) the engine (fuelling) ECU - which also controls cooling fan and AC operation - is programmed to progressively reduce fuel injection as the sensed coolant temperature goes very high. This is a safety feature, to prevent engine destruction by overheating.

Xsara Picasso 2007 Fan not working

Hi, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

My engine fan stopped working. A friend took a look for me.

I am left with multiple issues. Fan still not working, heater and air con not working, main beam and front washer jet not working, lights only go off when ignition turned off. Diagnostics show no fault.

I've been a long time lurker in this forum, but finally decided to register. I'm a software engineer currently living in sunny (and hot!) southern Spain. I have two Xantia, one daily driver and the other one in process of fixing, and I'm trying to learn the ins and outs so I can make minor repairs myself.

Hey all,

I joined up as I have some parts for a Citroen XM 2.0 turbo, which I have no idea how much they would be worth.

Basically, if they are worth anything, I will part with them to someone who can use them, but if they are not worth anything, I may as well hold on to them in case I decide to use them for the project I originally bought them...

Have a look on Ebay under Citroen XM then look down the list of tick boxes down the top left hand side, tick the 'completed sales' one and that should tell you how much the last one went for, if they have sold any recently.

I have two Citroens, a 2005 C4 hatch which we purchsed as our daughter’s first car that now lives with us, and a 2012 DS3 Sport, which a friend calls our street legal go-kart. I have to confess to lurking on this forum for the last week or two after my Citroen C5 appears to have developed the dreaded steering leak!

I have had many Citroen's over the years. My first was a 1960 DS19, followed by a DS21 Safari, two CX, an XM and I am now on my second C5.

I still have the Peter Russek Repair Guide for Citroen DS and ID....

Have previously owed a couple of 205s , a couple of 306s , a 504 and a leaky Clio.
