Citroen c5 maps sd card
Hi
Recently purchased a 2009 Citroen c5 that has an sd card inserted in the front for maps navigation, unfortunately mine never came with the card so I can’t use the nav function, downs anyone know where to get maps from to put onto a card etc my version number is in the picture.
Thanks in advance

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
You have the 'MyWay' system. Maps are no longer officially available since 2018 second quarter..
But her is the link:

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
Some have managed to utilise the version used by BMW and have altered the files slightly to make them compatible. Have a search on some GPS forums and you may find these may meet your needs. The POIs will remain on the last official version, but the maps should work fine. It's a disgrace that PSA ended support for the Harman Becker systems so early - they didn't bother commissioning any further updates after a few years!

The eMyWay/RT6 system seems to be going the same way. PSA have said that they're now only one ordering one map update a year from Here in (late) summer.

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
I have a 2016 download for maps but have been told the nav system only supports up to 16gb sd card, is this correct?

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
At least the RT6 is still getting updates after 12 years on the market. The NG4 Navidrive 3D system had nothing after 2016, so 6 years of updates.Paul-R wrote: 05 Jun 2022, 10:55 The eMyWay/RT6 system seems to be going the same way. At least the Connected NAV has free lifetime map updates, so will last a lot longer one hopes.

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
The last Official MyWay (RNEG) map update is Europe/Morocco - 2018-2 for the RNEG (MyWay) and comes on a single SD card. The system will read that easily.

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
I suppose some low limit on card capacity could have been coded in but generally SD cards (strictly speaking SDHC cards) from 4GB up to 32GB are all treated the same as they are formatted in FAT32.
Larger SD cards (properly named SDXC) can have capacities from 64GB to 2TB and probably won't be recognised. They use a proprietary Microsoft file system called exFAT. Out of interest, it's only cards up 2GB which are really "just" SD cards.
What makes you think a card up to 32GB won't work?

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
Great info thank you, I have tried a 32gb card formatted correctly etc with a verified working map database which isn’t recognised for whatever reason but have been advised from my map source that only up to 16gb works, just didn’t want to pay for another card if this info is incorrect

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
Try formatting the card again and make sure that FAT32 is chosen. Full format rather than quick format.

Re: Citroen c5 maps sd card
I wonder if, when the MyWay sound system was produced, the largest SD cards available were 16GB, hence the 'perceived' limit.
