That would look a lot like a MkIV Ford Zodiac Farnham estate car.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

The GS/A is a car that's always been on my dream garage wish-list. I've driven one and they really are pretty awesome... Was light-years ahead of its time...

My first encounter with one was when the owner wrecked the engine by not having it serviced, ran the big ends, to sort it Citroen supplied a ready built crankshaft and con rods, a nightmare of a job, feeling my way through without any manuals available at that time.

Usual price is in the range of £5k - £7.5k for one like that, but I've seen them go for a bit more and if that gets enough interest and into a small bidding war then it could make up to £8.5k. I'll settle for £7.5k at the moment, but much depends on how many people have seen the advert. :)

Interesting spots on our way over to Scarborough this morning was an XJS (but a coupe not an convertible) and an SL, but I think 2 generations older than the one above.
EDIT a "w113" ( thanks Wikipedia! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_SL-Class ) in a dark blue. Roof up despite sunshine (boooo!)

Are DS convertibles likely to stay in this thread's budget? In my mind they are rare and very expensive (hundred grand or something silly) ??
EDIT: Clicked the link, it's up to forty grand already!

From what I can see it didn't reach reserve so now they have put up a price of £8000 and invited offers!! We weren't too far off the mark then if it didn't make reserve!! :-D
