I had been following Paul's posts on Club-XM - he was quite open about his cancer and how it was affecting his life and his ability to carry out normal every day tasks, like working on cars. I was absolutely floored to hear of his death, as he gave the impression that the treatment was effective, and that he would be OK.

In the time I have been reading posts on Club-XM Paul was one of the regular contributors, and has clearly contributed to keeping that forum active. He apparently had an enormous stash of XM parts, so was often able to assist people with parts as well as advice.

How very sad!

I'd known Paul for well over a decade and had met him on several occasions at rallies and meet-ups over the years. Think the last time I probably saw him was at Burghley probably 10 years ago now but we kept in touch from time to time on Messenger.

I just stunned, and somewhat now depressed, to learn of his death.

No words can really express how I feel. It seems we are all affected in our lives as we get older with more losses of friends and family. This is the onward march of life I suppose but it doesn't ease the pain of learning of someone else having died and someone who was such a great minefield of information.

RIP Paul-B-R aka citroenxm. Shine down and bright on us and our Citroens!

I'd love to Roger but I'm both unable to drive that sort of distance currently and have an unbreakable prior engagement in the evening :(

I'm making the trip down to Paul's funeral. I've put my XM back on the road after a 5 year hibernation for the trip.

Paul always told me I didn't use the car enough so thought it would be a fitting way to attend his funeral.

You are not wrong there David, a nice gesture I am sure Paul would approve of.
