Paul Breeze Roberts - aka citroenxm

Unread post by DHallworth »

A little after 07:35 this morning (11th April 2024) Paul Breeze Roberts lost his 4.5 year battle with cancer at the young age of 47.

He was a shining light in the Citroen community. Always smiling, always sharing advice, and always happy to assist others with his Aladdin’s cave of parts. Paul was easily spotted at CCC rallies by his feet hanging out from underneath whichever car he was working on in the field.

Paul leaves behind a wife (Sarah) and a 7 year old little boy (Carwyn). He will be deeply missed amongst his family, friends, and fellow car enthusiasts.

Sleep well my friend, we’ll all be together drinking a pint of LHM again in the future.

David.

I’m fairly new to the forum, and never had any dealings with Paul, but I wish to add my condolences. 47 is far too young. R.I.P.

That's very sad to hear, and a great loss. I never met Paul in person, but we had plenty of conversations on here and elsewhere about various technical matters, and I was always impressed with his knowledge and application.

FFS, not another one. RIP Paul :(

Had a colleague at work, same age, diagnosed in December with aggressive bowel cancer. He had a 3 year old lad. We were all called to a meeting by him first week in Jan where he told us all, and what a pleasure it had been to work with us all, how he thought of us as friends, and that he had 3 or 4 months left.

I went to his funeral 3 Mondays ago.

RIP Paul.

Whatever question you posted up, Paul would be one of the first to help out, backed up by his knowledge and practical experience. A responder and participator of the first order, and the very lifeblood of the French Car Forum.

There is a lot of good stuff in the archives, and Paul's contributions will still help others as they helped me. One thread which I remember which Paul started, was this one of a very important celebration he shared with this Forum. I think its worth a revisit...

Dear oh dear. Such a young age. RIP Paul.

I seem to have been to a lot of funerals recently in my personal life as well. I'm definitely of the age now that a lot of my contemporaries are popping off. What I can't work out is when I slipped out of the 'friends and family who were a bit older than me' into the current one!
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

I met Paul at a couple citroen events I travelled to a few years ago. He seemed like a top guy. Sad to hear he has passed at such a young age. I'm sure he will be missed and remembered by a lot of folk on hee, as well as his family and friends.

I exchanged messages with Paul a few times and we had been hoping to see him on the Wales Wander next week, so very sad at his parting. My thoughts are with his family and friends RIP.

I did meet Paul in Wales many years ago and bought some XM parts from him. I had heard that he was very poorly and send my condolences to his family and friends. He was a real expert on XMs and I'm sure will be sorely missed.

Well this isn't what I'd like to return to after a few years away, 47 is no age, not much older than myself! Paul was certainly one of the "big names" as far as whose input kept me coming back time & again, and although we never met I know from our interactions what a good egg he was.

Condolences to Sarah, Carwyn & all who knew him. Rest easy Paul & thank you for all you did here and for Citroens in general
