Depending on your vehicle's Euro Standard You'll need either:

JWS 3309 for Euro 4 Vehicles
JWS 3324 (Type AM6-2 / AM6-2 / AT6/ AT6-3) - equivalent to AW1 for Euro 5 or Euro 6 Vehicles.

We only recommend the official oil, but as long as it meets the specific requirements for the gearbox and Euro standards you should be ok.

MIke, you have a Euro 5 vehicle, so this requires JWS 3324 Gearbox Oil. Don't forget to reset the oil counter with a diagnostic tool and you will need 2-3 changes to get to as near a complete change as you can.

Hey!

I was reading the whole topic, and the information here is very clear, however, the vendors they don't help and their specifications are really confusing.
At my car (VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]) transmission oil plug is written AW1, i understood as per Marc's posts that I shouldn't use in any circumstance JWS 3309 spec. What if the oil spec says: AISIN WARNER AW-1 and ATF 3309, like FEBI BILSTEIN 101161 🤷??? ?

Tks!

Hi All
Just to update some info.
Just changed EAT6 oil on 208 1.2L THP Allure ( 67 ) and some new info below.
All plugs now have O rings and no flat washers - Level/Drain/Fill
Amount that came out of min was 2.5L - so I put in 3 and when level checking 0.5L came back out.
Car was level and at correct temp etc.
Sorry no pics!

Hello everyone! I have a Citroen C5, 2012, 2.2 liter engine, station wagon, diesel, VIN code VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. I want to change the oil in the automatic transmission. And the question is - can I use Toyota AT Fluid WS for oil change?

You require JWS 3324 oil, or equivalent to this.

The official Citroen dealer in my city said that Citroen uses special transmission oil for the automatic transmission, its cost is 210 euros for 4 liters. It seemed too expensive to me. A regular Asin transmission.

The oils are different, often based on Euro standard of the vehicle (Euro 4 or 5/6) and gearbox (remember there were multiple versions of the AM6 gearbox fitted over the years). You have a Euro 5 vehicle.

The dealer is correct and you did ask - but can't help if you don't like the answer. Yes the oil is expensive, but look for JWS 3324 or equivalent.
