The waterfront may stand a chance, but only 10 points to get a 31 year old demolition from a couple of bits of plaster/concrete a bit of metal tube and a red light anywhere on planet earth, thats almost as impossible as my whatsthisthen car under the tarpaulin. :-D

I reckon its worth at least 1000 points if anyone manages to get that. Were there red lights on the Berlin Wall?

That's not a metal tube, that's a solid copper rung....... one of many used to get to the red light which was mounted on top of the concrete. Although I admit, 10 points is a little mean, with the clues that I keep on giving I can't offer you 1000 points. Maybe I'll settle for 950 points

I have to admit, Mick - I'm extremely impressed....... mainly because you got there before Neil*

Immediately after the eastern chimney was blown up, me and a couple of mates made our way to the demolition site and scrambled onto the rubble before the dust had settled. I managed to grab 2 lights, the rung and some concrete.... I think they left empty handed :-D Unfortunately, one of the lights was broken, but I've still got it. The one I've got in the picture has a slight chip on the glass but is otherwise good.

* Mick - Out of interest, have you and Neil ever been seen in the same room together ?

I am impressed too, and would like to follow Micks Process of deduction.. I was going to go for a 20 questions approach to narrow it down.

For what its worth, after my blind stab in the dark with the Berlin wall, I looked closer at the rung and remembered stepping on it (one like it!) as I climbed the tower to install a di-pole aerial in Battersea. I started with Didcot and DDG'd my way to Brighton!! SHimples :-D :-D

And as far as I am aware we havn't been in the same room together..............yet!!

If I drive up to the polar regions I'll see if we can't join Steve in the Pickled Egg at some point!!(and anyone else who'd like to join in of course!)
