I don't 'do' modern cars really and was expecting to spend as much repairing it as my last company car cost (a BMW 120D Sport - hateful thing).
It's been 2 years and 20,000 miles now and I've forked out for an EGR valve (about £150ish I think) when I first got it, then one of the reversing sensors (about a tenner off Ebay and 5 mins to fit) about a year ago.
No leaks, no squeaks, nothing has broken or fell off. Not even had a bulb.
Maybe I've been lucky but the warranty I bought with the car 2 years back has thankfully been a waste of money.
Compared to that awful, unreliable, cramped, uncomfortable BMW this C5 is an absolute dream.
...And another year / 10,000 miles down the line I've still nothing of note to report.
I've serviced it again (genuine parts) and put a couple of tyres and bulbs on it but nothing more.
I sometimes wonder if the ridiculously regular servicing it's received throughout it's life has had some influence?
At the risk of tempting fate once again, I'd go so far as to say it's the most reliable car I've ever ran.
