Cheers guys. I'm really happy with it. Never really wanted a car as pristine as this as it would put me off using it.
However, it's a car and it's for using..............

Re: my GS Pallas
Nick Mason (he of Pink Floyd fame) has an extensive collection of Ferraris, and they all get driven. He has the attitude along the lines of "It is a car, it was made to be driven, it gets driven", regardless of the value (oh, and driven does not mean to the end of the drive and back).

Re: my GS Pallas
The things is, I'm sure the likes of Nick Mason can easily afford to give his cars a good thrashing and repair as required. Unfortunately that's not the case with an average Joe. After nearly a year spent with my C6, I still get paranoid when I park my car anywhere other than at my place.

I collect watches and own some rather nice limited editions. I happened to be talking to the manufacturer of three or four and when i explained i hardly wore them he was shocked.
"No Dave don't make a temple of them, they are to wear". So now i wear them.

Re: my GS Pallas
It won't be driven to the point of abuse. I will be carefully used as I cannot afford to be getting bodywork done every few years. No way will it be out in winter etc.
Thing is, people like Nick Mason run their cars as a cheque book hobby. Work needs done, hand over keys and car. Collect car when work is done the use. Cycle on constant repeat.
I have been involved in every step of this restoration. I stripped the car down, and re built it. I know the blood sweat & tears involved in this by both the painter and myself. Yes, it will be used, but carefully.

Re: my GS Pallas
All still going well. Got the last bit of chrome trim on. The ones that go around the rear side glass. They are the worst to fit as they go on the window rubbers. Luckily the inside of my garage was warm as the sun was out, and the help of some duck oil, they eventually went on!
Next is the rear spheres.
A couple of photsos from Drive it Day.
