Possibly a poor body earth connection so the lights are earthing through the wrong wires, also a poor/dirty connection could cause it to get hot. Using bulbs of a too high amperage could cause overheating but then it would be expected a fuse would blow unless the wrong fuse is installed.

Sounds like a cool setup. 👍 You might struggle to find a Peugeot-specific clip-in T, but a universal diesel heater T-piece kit (Webasto or Eberspächer style) should work fine as long as it matches your hose size. Halfords website recommends comma MVCHF fluid, but my gut feeling is that it is just standard PAS fluid such as Comma PSF.

Thanks for taking the time to advise. Once i had sorted out a dodgy multimeter lead, the task got easier! You were dead right, pin 2 on the plug became live after reseating the fuses and replacing the brake light pedal switch. It still didnt work though and took a replacement light cluster bulb holder to work, even though i couldnt see any breaks...

It dips every second or so and then recovers. This continues until it is warm. At which point it becomes almost undetectable.

Ok, I give up.
After attempt number three, there must be a secret easy way of changing the fuel pressure regulator on a 1.6HDi 207cc (207/sw/etc)
Latest attempt involved removal of the unpressurised side of the induction system to allow the airbox to be moved sideways to potentially gain access.
Working by feel I removed 3 hex bolts which both...

On the opposite side to the cable drum on the throttle is the throttle position sensor (on the bottom) and the idle air modulator valve (on the top).

So, I've been doing some quite in depth messing around with OBD on my 2008 207cc 1.6Hdi.
The diagrams in ServiceBox indicate that the 'CAN IS' is attached to a 250kbps CAN bus on the J1962 standard pins 6 & 14.
Also... it indicates an ISO14230 'K Line' directly connected to the engine ECU on J1962 pin 7 and a non-standard 'DIAG CAN' at 500kbps...

Sadly I think I've reached the limits of what I can do via the OBD port at the moment.
Next step would be to wire the ELM327's CAN bus to the DIAG CAN on 3/8 and monitor what Diagbox does.
The CAN IS on the J1962 pins appears to be for information only as none of the ECUs that Servicebox lists as being connected to it respond to UDS messages on...

So now the nights are creeping back in my little 207 has one bulb out . The heater panel right had side isnt lit . Here's a picture of the housing . Turns out I've only black cap not the white , anyone got any ideas to its part name or numbers.

I thought mine was a swap out type but closer inspection the wire from the bulb is spot soldered to the terminals and where you need to solder is so tight id end up melting the housing

my 5008 keeps draining the main battery (drops from 12.4 V to 10.8 V in a few days).
I can hear a faint beeping or buzzing after onneting the battery. I guess its from the alarm siren.
I did looking for it but cannot find, guess will be hidden under windshield.
I would like to disconnect it, but I’m not sure if it will start sounding...

Hi all , I have a misfire on cylinder number 1 , I swapped coils from 3 to 2 and 1 to 2 as I found out no 1 is at flywheel side , the fault didn’t transfer , so it’s either wiring , plug or engine computer , codes p2303 p0053 p0054 and p0420 , it’s also using engine oil , any wiring diagram for coil to ecu , is this a common problem, thanks
