This forum (and the BXC forum which runs on the same server) has been bombarded with requests from guest users using Vietnamese IP addresses. I noticed it yesterday and blocked several address ranges, but they have been even more prolific today, with a peak of about 5500 requests in one minute, which the forum database service could not handle.

If disconnecting the MaF makes no difference, then there is a problem in itself.

Never fit a cheap one, only originals last so don't waste your money on cheap in this case.

It really needs to be put on a LEXIA, guess work is expensive. Have it diagnosed before you start swapping parts out.

Thought I'd pop here and introduce myself as I'm fast becoming a bit of a frenchie lover.

For years I subscribed to the 'Once you go Jap you never go back' mantra but after a few cars I bought ended up with costly repairs I rethought things and started buying VAG vehicles cos obviously, you never buy french cars, they just break.

but I will say that the 2.0. 8 valve Hdi is probably the best engine they have ever made, or possibly anyone has.
Although I don't necessarily disagree with you, the HDi engine was brought out when diesels were in vogue , whereas the 1.9td was brought out when diesels were dirty, filthy and agricultural in their nature, and imo therefore a bigger...

Hi, been a 2003 Clo Dci 80 owner for 3 years 70mpg and reliable 103K

Just bought a 2005 C5 1.6 Hdi, thats doing 60mpg !! best ride ever and Ive had Jags !!

things to do on the C5, full oil flush service (Forte) and blank the EGR. Other forum has said not to map it so will take their advice, was going to add 20hp

Hi all!!
New to the site,just a quick hello.I'm from Derby and drive a ZX 1.9D 1997. Great car bit rough round the edges but is good run around. I've got trouble with rear offside wheel just started to rub cow muck off inner arch.Have I caught it early and just replace trailing arm bearings.Any help or tech walk through would be appreciated....

Just signed up to the forum, so a few words of intro.
I bought a couple of Renault R4s back in '72 to cobble into one for a g/f. The saloon dated from '62 and ended up as a 750cc three speed. Since then I have had around 10 R4s, 1 R12, 3 R5s and currently run an Espace 3 and a first series Twingo. There were a couple of 2CVs somewhere in there...

At the weekend got myself a 2003 Citroen C5 2.0 HDI SX with 260,000 miles!
