This forum (and the BXC forum which runs on the same server) has been bombarded with requests from guest users using Vietnamese IP addresses. I noticed it yesterday and blocked several address ranges, but they have been even more prolific today, with a peak of about 5500 requests in one minute, which the forum database service could not handle.

Welcome to the Forum. Please make sure to follow the service intervals at the very minimum (shorter intervals if possible) as some of the PSA HDi (the 1.6 DW6 unit comes to mind) engines have an issue if they not well looked after (please don't think I am being condescending).

it snapped its cambelt! still with almost 20,000 miles of it being servicable doh!

Don't worry unduly about the green fluid. It is possible that they have used LHM which wouldn't be very good but Comma make an LDS that is green. I had to use it when the suspension pipe from front to rear in order to get the car on a low loader and it was OK after that.

New Saxo owner - 2003 VTR Race Car

Hi. I've just bought a 2003 Saxo VTR full race car. It's an ex Stock Hatch car & will be raced at Brands, Silverstone, Snetterton etc., over the next few years, in the BARC TinTops series.
I've been racing a MK2 Fiesta XR2 for quite a few years, but wanted to upgrade to a newer car...& this is it.

Raced the Saxo at Brands Hatch for the 1st time on the 24th November with Dunlop DZ03G tyres - again never used these before either.
Wet track in quals & did a 1m09s lap. Had a few off-track excursions, but overall felt good.
Softened up the suspension all round & pumped up the tyres to 28psi (hot) for the 1st race. Damp track & did a 1m02s lap....

I'm another newbie here. Previously owned a picasso 1.6 petrol. Still have a Citroen Berlingo van 1.9d and the wife has a Peugeot Partner 1.9d.
We never really had any problems until we had the Partner this year. :?

My Berlingo was a little disappointing as it had to have it's first clutch replaced a 159000 miles. :-D turned out the plates were...
