I don't have knowledge of the Peugeot, but the issue of a loose connection is known with several makes of car.
I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Not everyday you see another Activa but heres one on the M25 i spotted today -

(shout me if links dont work)

I wasnt sure it was an Activa at first until i pulled up alongside it, and it had Activa on the door rubstrips.

Being a Mk2 and slight sign of soot i think it was an HDI, it also had full leather interior. Sorry for poor pics!

2.1td with bosch pump ;)
2.0t 16v engine(better economy IIRC)
2.0HDi 110
3.0v6
and 3.0v6 Turbo low boost.

The latter one would be the one with say 16 alloy wheels, a slightly more sporty setup, slightly lowe ride hieght setup and more supportive seats as well for driver and passenger, recaro...

Sounds to me like the normal, standard Xantia blower problem (i.e. Ignition Switch and/or burned connectors on the blower module). The Activa is no different to any other aircon Xantia in this respect.

I posted a guide in the main Citroen forum to diagnose blower problems that will find the problem for you. If you can't find it I'll post a link...

Was the sacrifice of an Activa worth it for this effort that's a bit visually
challenged - that intercooler is just stupid and sad!

Car is currently log booked as a 1.9 but only cause i haven't gotten
round to changing it. I have it insured for what it is and it ain't that
expensive really

OK, not removed from an Activa although as it's the same engine so its of note that it didn't waste an Activa, when they did this conversion on another 205.

Was there ever a follow up on the list of tuning mods for the Activa? I know there were a few threads on Activanet about bolt on goodies.

I have been asked to look at bolting a 16 valve, twin cam head onto an Activa, possibly with a hybrid turbo. I have also gleaned a fair amount of information from Puma Engineering about tweaking these engines....

The 16V head onto a block that was sold with 8 valve can work, because you saying that, reminds me of the fact that the Zetec head was being fitted to the CVH by various tuners.

Well what an eventful day! It started with heavy rain on the way to santa pod, after a quick stop at a services it decided to throw a fault code at me. Fortunatly we were not far away from jim's and he very kindly reset my ecu, a strange fault come up with a open circuit boost control valve. Its not come up again since its been remounted.

1/4 mile for V6 Auto (Exclusive) 16.9
1/4 mile for Xantia Activa V6 Manual 15.9
1/4 mile for Xantia Activa CT 17.2

All standard times of course.

Activa ECU Fault Logging

Richard (DickieG) has observed on many occasions that the Suspension ECU on Hydractive cars (including Activas) regularly log an intermittent Steering Angle Sensor fault when interrogated with a Lexia. These intermittent faults invariably clear with no problem but return in due course. Quite why is not known.

ECU - Not wanting to talk

Took my Activa to garage today for a service and have her control rods lubed up, and i also asked him to check the Activa an Hydroactive computer for errors, he laughed and said there will be thousands logged.

When i went to collect he said they did not want to talk and tried with 3 different types of computer and non would comunicate. Now he did...

That's odd.

Did he manage to see any of the ECUs? I ask as they all come out on different pins of the diagnostic connector. It has to be worth checking the integrity of the pins.

Also, there is a fused 12V supply to the diagnostic connector that is essential for powering the tester. I'll dig out the diagrams of both the 16 and 30 pin one....

Would a steering wheel angle sensor have an adverse effect? I've got my Activa in the garage tommorrow so i'll get him to read the Activa and Hydroactive ECU while its in.

I believe, and I'm not sure but if the HA ECU logs a fault for duff sensor information, it'll revert to default values, a bit like Limp Home mode the engine ECU will drop into...
