Hi, first of all sorry for posting about a Toyota here but the Toyota ProAce City is actually a rebranded Peugeot Expert/Citroen Berlingo (even has the PSA logo on most parts)!
For the last few days, Apple CarPlay is not working correctly, sometimes it connects for a while when turning on the car, but most times nothing at all. This persists with several iPhones and several cables, which all work fine on another car, so I suspect this is an issue with the infotainment unit. I tried to reset to factory settings but that didn't help so I'm looking at options to try and get this working again.
I think maybe a more deep reset could exit, or possibly a software update or something, but it is very difficult to get help from Toyota due to the car being a Stellantis design that they don't seem to really know well.
I found this forum by searching for the versions I found on the unit, with mentions of Wave2, 3, 4 etc. but at this point I'm totally confused about what this all means ^^
Here are the different version numbers per the unit's System Information screen:
HMI version: rcc2021.82.21.14.01.00
iMX version: x0601042_211122_20.0H023
V850 version: RCC19_19.1S18.14
Hope something can be done to get this back, I rely quite heavily on it due to the lacking overall design of the dashboard/infotainment !

Have you tried an android phone and used the equivalent of car play whatever that is?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

You have an Bosch RCC Wave 3 infotainment system.
That particular firmware version (0931, which you can see in the previous screen of that HMI/iMX/V850 versions information) was installed from the factory in some cars, but it was never released to the public. In that site, if you double-click in the "Version" of the table, you can see it was released on 23 Nov 2021 and that there are some recent versions.
Toyota has a site - https://www.toyota-tech.eu/ - that helps you updating those systems, but that seems a problem with the USB socket.

Thanks for your help!
I also thought about a usb socket issue but I tested a usb drive with music on it and it worked. It doesn't entirely rule out some weird/intermittent issue of course but it at least suggests the issue might be software. I'll see if I'm able to do something with those resources.
Also, I was able to open engineering mode using instructions in other topics (hold media button for 6 seconds), but was stuck at the PIN stage. Is the PIN common to all vehicles of a specific model? Is there anything that could help me in this maintenance mode?
