Long time lurker, Short time XM owner, first time poster 😁

Hi! My name is Jonny and I am the owner of K475PGN, the car owned briefly by many people except for its first owner, who had it for a decade running on Embassy number plates for the International Sugar Corporation!
It’s a boggo spec XM with less to go wrong but still plenty to go wrong because it’s an XM.
I’ve been a member of the XM forum for a year since I bought this in May 2024, but being a lot of parts (namely the engine and gearbox) are shared with Peugeot, I just decided to join here as there may be some crossover part number etc.
I help out with a mechanic business in the next unit to mine and we have scoured the forum many times for how to repair French motors (usually Renaults, Nissans and Dacias actually!) but thought I’d actually finally join.

I hope whoever is reading this is well and I look forward to contributing with my own car woes.

Oh and this is what the XM currently looks like as it’s out of MOT and having a rebuild!

Also I only just realised looking back at the post that the first image looks stolen my bad, I completely forgot that was the image I screenshot of my post on OnlyWagons Facebook to justify keeping the car because over 400 people liked it!
