The screen on our 2019 308sw worked this morning but now has decided to not start up after being parked for a shopping trip. All it is showing is the Peugeot lion logo with a dark blue back ground and touching the icons at the sides does nothing. The car has been switched off and left locked for a couple of hours but it made no difference when the car was started. The heating is working at the previous settings when the car was used this morning when the screen worked and when the windscreen defrost switch is used the blower goes to max. The rear view camera is working on the screen. The radio is working but not showing anything on the screen.
I will try a bsi reset but thought I might ask on here first for any advice.

Re: Touch screen not starting up
Disconnecting the battery did not help. I read on the 208 they suffer from the screen not starting and a fix is to pull the screen fuse with the ignition on, also a spring on the radio needs stretching a bit to make better contact. Our 308 handbook does not have a fuse list and looking at the glove box fuses they are hidden behind lots of plugs and wires so no idea which if any fuse serves the screen.

Re: Touch screen not starting up
The verdict from the dealer is it needs a new radio unit. They tried downloading new software and that did not help. Other bad news is I noticed the air con condenser is leaking oil at the bottom left corner when seen from the front so that needs replacing as well. On top of the 6 year service, MOT and anti corrosion warranty check all this will be going on for £3k - ouch.
Whilst at the Peugeot dealer I looked at new/nearly new cars as you do. Most, especially hybrid and electric, have a list price over £40k so are subject to £600 a year road tax for 5 years. There does not seem to be any sign of the gov increasing the £40k amount so before long most cars will be paying it.
