Citroen c3 picasso 21 plate petrol.
My Citroen c3 picasso 1.2 petrol is due for it's 4 th service next month at 36000 miles. The garage recommends an engine flush before the oil change. Is this potentialy going to cause a contamination problem with the new oil that wet cam belt will be running in ?.

Re: Citroen c3 picasso 21 plate petrol.
I certainly would not put anything like an engine flush in - Just have the oil drained and refilled with the exact specification and type recommended by Citroen! This is essential to use the correct grade and specification of oil. Absolutely no need for engine 'flushing' these days. Could possibly do more harm than good. MOre important that the oil is changed regularly on these engines - say every 6 months if affordable, but depends on the mileage you do - if just low to normal miles, then leave it to the yearly change which is essential.
If you are not sure which oil to use post up your VIN. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.
