Please note that the car model is peugeot 208 from 2018, I bought it used and this is the vin I found on the side of the passenger seat and what I used to connect to mypeugeot app

The VIN should be stamped on the outside lower left windscreen corner. From the VIN you have provided though, this has an RCC (Connected Analogue Colour Radio) and states 'without Mirror Link', which was the earlier Technology before Android Auto and CarPlay, so that's why you can't connect as it is.
