308 T9 2015 ABS Module issue?

Unread post by krazyjagster »

Hello felow Pug enthusiast!

My 308 T9 2015 had all errors popping up on my dash recently, after sending it to a mechanic for diagnosis the shop is telling me the ABS module is faulty.

As I'm shopping for a ABS module online because pricing is 10x cheaper than the prices in my country, i was told I'll have to match the pump model number as well as the serial number below it for it to fit my car. Also would i be able to fit a pump from a C4 if it has the same pump model? Attached is my ABS module for reference

VIN number for reference: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

PSA do share components across the marques and models, but it does depend on the vehicle and the engine. These are configured for the vehicle and the vehicle's options, so it's important to not only match up the part number (the 98* number in your photo), but also to make sure it is configured correctly.

So you'll ned to configure the ECU or at least make sure the configuration is correct for your vehicle, and secondly, you'll also need to calibrate the steering wheel angle sensor when it is replaced.

Note: this vehicle is also showing an outstanding after-sales campaign to have the wishbone bolts replaced since May 201, Ref: HSS - "Replacing certain front axle mounting bolts. This preventive operation will help ensure the long-term durability of these components."

Hi Marc! Thanks for the info, I'm guessing I'll have to first match the top part number, and just make sure the module is compatible with my model yes? Is the bottom number important for me to refer to?

As for the mounting bolts, unfortunately i had to find out the hard way for all of them to start snapping but I have replaced them already!

Just match the 98* number, the other numbers are internal references I suspect. If looking for used one, try and get the part number from the same vehicle / year as yours.
