Xantia 1.8i oil temp gauge help

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make the oil temp gauge to work, on a 1.8i petrol LFX engine? Is there a certain oil temp sensor that I need to buy ? Where I connect it? I've put the oil temp gauge , and now I need to find a proper way to make work...

A typical xantia oil temperature gauge wiring diagram: 4111 is the oil temperature sensor.

so theoritically, if I connect an oil temp sensor , that has the correct bandwith , directly to the gauge (through the correct pins) will it work?
