Flywheel part code woes!

Unread post by Eg01644 »

Hi all, I have a Peugeot 508 BlueHDI 150 GT line, 2015.

I'm in the process of swapping out my clutch and flywheel assembly. I have a brand new clutch from the dealer along with the slave cylinder and a crank seal. I did however get a Valeo flywheel from an online auction site which is "old stock" and, whilst having a little corrosion looks to be perfectly good.

The issue I have is that the part code on the old flywheel is PSA 9808378880 which when cross referenced on any parts site is Valeo 836172. This also appears on the new flywheel however the mounting hole in the centre is far bigger on the old than the new - everything else is identical.

The only difference is a casing marking which on the old is 1035034 - when I search online this states my car needs a Peugeot Expert van Flywheel! On the new one I bought is 293390, however both refer back to OEM code 9808378880!

I've very confused at this point and don't want to buy another flywheel when I don't have a definitive. Does the centre piece come out to make it fit? (1st pic is new purchase, 2nd is the original flywheel) ImageImage

We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or vehicle factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 3 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.
A response to your question by a Forum Admin requiring parts or specific vehicle information requires you
