C4gp problem full automat

Unread post by MartinJavurek »

Hello, I have a problem with the car I just bought, c4gp 2009 2.0hdi full automatic. I give a print screen of diagnostics... The car only starts via the cable directly to the starter and then drives and shifts. But it doesn't show what is included. They are there. Just 2 dashes. The transmission light is on

Hi

Welcome to the forum!

Is it possible that you could find the actual Citroen DTC codes from your screen prints and post them up please? I am not sure many members speak Polish but it would help people if you can provide as much information in the forum's default language.

For example:- U1209

I found this on the forum - U1209 the communication between the gearbox ECU and the ESP ECU is missing

and there is a post which may or may not provide some insight for you:-

So it would be useful for us to see all those codes translated. If you haven't already, it is worth clearing the fault codes and running a full scan again to we see only the actual current codes.

I doubt all those are current codes, quite probably a low battery at some time has caused them all to pop up. I would clear them all, and any in the engine ECU and ABS ECU, then see which ones come back and are permanent. If you have -- on the screen instead of speed, then quite possible there is an ABS sensor fault - without speed information the transmission will not know what is going on.

I tried to delete the codes, but they don't work. It always says errors cannot be removed.

Can't can't be 'magically' cleared if the underlying issue exists that triggered the fault in the first place. You need to find and fix the problem first.

Agreed in general BUT if faults still exist in any module memory that haven't been previously cleared then some could disappear.

Also, if any fault is intermittent and the car is stationary then any codes that are not picked up by any plausibility check would also disappear until the car is next physically driven.

Yes Roger, but he's already said that he can't clear them..... so one has to assume he's already attempted this, hence my reply.

Further, most faults are logged in memory and can be retrieved, even in not currently present.
