Help xsara 2004 1.6 HDI cooling non-standard fan dead

I am desperately trying to get my car back on the road, I bought my LH drive Picasso from new in the UK, the cooling fan motor for cooling the engine and air con stopped working, seems to be a special and can’t get one anywhere anyone any ideas why it is special and any way around to use a standard fan.
