Xantia oil change

Hi, just changing oil on my S2 Xantia. I managed to catch alternator with my oil filter wrench and created a spark!!! I now have no electrics !!!! wondering what I have blown !!!! thanks in advance , Terry.

Which engine do you have?

It doesn't look like any Xantia has any fuses in the alternator main feed. The cable goes to the starter main feed and then direct to the battery positive.

Maybe you have disturbed one of the battery terminals? Otherwise I would expect that there would be quite a lot of smoke released.

Resolved, the battery is a dud.
