Hi,
Here goes -
Having a few problems with Mk1 Peugeot 3008 2015 (65)
Car was pulling to the left a couple of months just before seeting off on holiday, there was also vibration there indicating a wheel was out of balance, although there has always been a slight vibration in the couple of years weve had it.
Got wheel alingment done at a reputable garage along with wheels balance... car still pulled to left, but most of vibration is gone but not completely. By time we had clocked about about a 1000 miles a quick check showed inner edge of left wheel was scrubbing - if this was wheel alingment then I would expect wear on both tyres and not just one.
As tyre had only a couple of mm tread left I went and got four Bridgestone fitted at local tyre place with wheel alingment carried out - week later took it back as still pulling to left, the realinged it then took it for test drive. Told me when he came back that it was still pulling to left so back on alingment machine once more - everything still spot on.
I then took it back to where I normally go for wheel alingment and they stuck it on their Hunter machine and sure enough all was good and no adjustment required, also check to make sure wheels were correctly balanced as well and they were also spot on.
As it is car still pulls to left and there is still a vibration similare to wheel balance although it varies when you get it and how bad it is.
Car has had New Shocks, Springs, Top Mounts, Bearings, Drop Links, Lower Ball Joint, Anti Roll Bar Bushes, Inner Track Rods, Outer Track Rods.
I am beging to wonder if the pulling to left is caused by steering rack ???
Is the vibration caused by steering rack ??? or drive shaft.
Good comfy car to drive and cost of changing car is too great. Really need to get to bottom of this and any advice much appreciated.

Has it always done this, how many miles has it done ?
Did it pull to the left before all those parts were changed and when done were they tightened up with the front wheels straight ahead ?
Have you had all the brakes serviced since if they are a bit seized that could cause it to pull to one side ?
Did you try a Peugeot dealer for any checks ?

Re: Problems With Pulling To The Left & Vibration - Fecking Car
Like every car it has always pulled to left but this pulls more than it should.
It has got worse over last couple of months, new parts were all done about 7-8 months ago, and was all straight when tightened.
Car has 82000 miles on it - we average about 16000 a year and with the condition of roads things do wear out quicker than they should and I always use the best quality parts avalible.
Brakes are absolutely fine.
Had up at my Local independent garage who I would trust far more than any dealer and he could not find anything wrong. He even reset the steering angle sensor to eliminate it.
Quick google search shows this...
What are signs of a steering rack failure?
Clunking, hammering or cracking noise when steering.
Stiff steering wheel.
Oil puddle under the car.
It is more difficult to drive in a straight line. - ** I have this. **
One side of your steering wheel is more responsive than the other.
The steering wheel vibrates. - ** I have this. **
Is this the start of steering rack failure.

I wonder if the rack's made by the same lot who did the C5x7 ones that seemed to fail miserably............see Marc's GiveMeABreak rack failed again thread.

Re: Problems With Pulling To The Left & Vibration - Fecking Car
So spent a bit of time with Runout gauage, checked on hubs to start with and both sides spot on, then done on wheel mating surface of brake discs and had couple mm runout...New discs on front and car feels about 50% better with a lot less pulling and less vibration. As there was runout wheel alingment would not be correct when it was done so going in this week just to get it double checked..going to get them to recheck balance on front wheels while there.
Will update in due course.

Re: Problems With Pulling To The Left & Vibration - Fecking Car
Ok Update.
After changing brake discs wheel alingment was carried out once again which halfed the amount it was pulling to left but it still pulled more than it should and still vibration there - although not as bad.
Took decision to change driveshafts even although there was no play in any CV joints - Once I got driveshafts off car there was play in left hand CV.
New driveshafts and transmission fluid and it is like driving a different car - vibration completely gone and tracks like it should do.
