Hi guys, this code came up after a timing belt change, so the garage checked the timing again, changed the camshaft sensor, but still have the engine light on. The last issue I could think off would be a damaged wire, as the car is cranking a bit too long compared to before, and sometimes cannot start, which is exactly the same behavior I observe when unplugging the camshaft sensor ( except in that case the engine management light does not light on). Would you know which pin on the ECU connector and which ECU connector is this camshaft sensor wired to on a 2.0 bluehdi C4 Grand Picasso from 2015 ?
Thank you

Re: P0341 after timing belt change
It may be helpful when posting fault codes to post the fault code description (if you have it). Most people dont know the 1000’s of P codes off by heart so it would save people then having to look up the fault description.

Did you find the fault, I have the same problem, I can't pass the technical inspection because I have an engine fault

Hi, did you find what was wrong withs your engine? My van is doing exactly the same after a cam belt change, we've even done the same test as you by unplugging the camshaft sensor and it doesnt throw up a light. When all connected it does throw a fault light and returns P0341, which is camshaft sensor.

Re: P0341 after timing belt change
We have exactly the same issue, on a 2015 C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 HDI.
Error code P0341 "Camshaft position signal inconsistent".
Does anyone know what fault in the cambelt change might cause this? Desperate to find out as we are on a driving holiday to Italy, and the mechanics here say investigating would take a long time and be very costly.
Thank you for any insight you can give.

Re: P0341 after timing belt change
Evening all, just wondering if anyone found a fix for this ? I’ve just purchased a vehicle that has apparently had the cambelt changed and is suffering from this issue. Drives fine around town however the moment I’m at a consistent 60-70mph around a minute after the van goes into limp mode and P0341 is the code. The mechanic at my garage has changed camshaft A sensor and Monday is going to check the timing. Did anyone find anything else was causing this ? Thanks

Re: P0341 after timing belt change
Maybe something to do with the crank shaft sensor or some of either sensors' wiring since possibly this and the cam shaft ones might be being compared to say one is not consistent.

Re: P0341 after timing belt change
I think these have a floating crank pulley - doing the belt change without pinning the flywheel is asking for trouble.

Re: P0341 after timing belt change
Unless the cam sensor has been physically damaged in each of these timing belt changes above this surely has to be the belt hasn't been done properly?
Even if you pin the crank at the flywheel the pulley still has a little bit of 'float' each way & is meant to be centralised with a tool like this, its like the keyway is slightly elongated.
Id guess that when the engine has been rotated the pulley has not been centred with a tool like this. If this is the case the timing will be very slightly out (less than a tooth) not enough to do mechanical damage but enough for it to be picked up by the camshaft sensor.
