Hi I have a 2016 308 gtline sw
My question to the group is my dashboard is like a Christmas tree atm due to abs speed sensor that was diagnosed with rac. (New battery fitted )
Does the loom for rear right abs sensor go through the whole car then plug into the wheel abs sensor. I've confused as some come with a loom connected to them and some don't. My understanding is that due to this error on my dash it's abs sensor fault

Re: Abs speed sensor fault
All these faults can be related to to the ESP system as they are all reliant on the vehicle wheel speed sensors. I had a similar issue recently on my Aircross with similar messages.
As for the harness, all these models except the 2021 P5 have the wheel speed sensor on a smaller cable that plugs into the main loom.

Re: Abs speed sensor fault
Thank you for yoir swift replay and appreciated very much OK. I was confused as some show with additional cable and some don't. So was not sure if front needed additional cable or that rear was the same. Mine does not have park assist but does have cruise control. I'm not very good with cars and don't suppose you could point me in the right direction for parts. How did you go about resolving it.
Kind regards

Re: Abs speed sensor fault
Looking at parts on various suppliers . It looks like only the front abs sensors come with additional loom unless I'm massively mistaken
and that the rear does not have additional loom requirement. I'm a bit confused now

Re: Abs speed sensor fault
I strongly suggest you avoid internet companies unless you know the exact part you are looking for - there are multiple part types and they are not the same.
We can help if you need an original, genuine part number or part diagram, and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.
If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.
Or get your dealer to fit it for you and they will be able to clear the fault codes and ensure proper fitting if you are not sure.

Re: Abs speed sensor fault
I know this is a old thread
Looks like I have the same problem.
I'm going to investigate over the weekend and was wondering how you got on and if the sensors self reset or if a reader is needed.
I'm going to get the abs system read and the replace the relevant sensor but I don't know if I will then need to reset the system.
Anyway I've made a vid of the problem, enjoy
James.

Re: Abs speed sensor fault
IT's almost certainly as I've mentioned in my post above - all these faults are related to the ESP system - but specifically one or more wheel speed sensors are faulty.
The dealer will be able to replace the correct one and reset the fault codes - probably quicker and less faffing about.
