Peugeot 508 faults B1133 and B1111

Unread post by dariobrb »

Hello guys,

A little help is needed :)

My car Peugeot 508 2011 2.0 163 hp, developed some issues with xenon headlamps after replacing sway bar bushings.

Problem is that headlight beam is at lowest settings and i am getting error message about directional headlamp issue.(It is really hard driving when its dark outside or on rainy day.)

Fault codes that appear and are permanent are :
B1133 Value of the front body sensor: too high
B1111 Headlamp calibration fault(calibration not carried out after configuration or faulty calibration)

I thought that problem may be in link that connects sensor and sway bar, but i can perform actuator test (Vertical and horizontal) with success. After actuator test, headlight beam is in normal settings as it should be, but after i exit test it returns to lowest settings.

Did anyone encounter similar issue or have any idea what to check?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have broken the link, or it's moved and gone out of range. Visual check of the sensor / link first; if it's OK, then try calibrating via Diagbox.

Hello RIchardW,

Part arrived and i fitted it, but with no luck, faults stayed even after i tried to erase them, both of them.
Again i can initiate vertical/horizontal movement with diagbox. While doing that i was watching height sensor and i couldnt see that link is moving (dont know if it shoud move?), but nevertheless headlight went up/down/left/right.
Could it be that when i was changing bushings on sway bar, that i somehow raised sway bar? :D

Here are pic of parameters if somehow helps.

Hi. I have similiar case but my fault codes are B1132 and B1134, signal too low. What I did is I removed both sensors front and rear. I left sensors plugged. Then I calibrated sensors with diagbox. Important thing is to put sensors exactly in the middle of the scale which is around 2.6V, there is a hole in sensors which indicates that middle point. If you rotate the sensor arm you will spot it. When the sensor arm was in different position, then calibaration is failing, resulting in Service indicator on and headlight icon blinking. Now I am not sure if there is any manual how to refit the sensors? Do I need the sensors to be in this middle position while refitting? I believe the brackets which is attached to bar has to be adjusted? Can you please advise? Thank you

Hi. Can you please clarify what is your issue? Is it fault code? Or maybe you are not sure how to refit the sensors? Then i will try to help. Thanks

Hello mariuszk,

I am a little late to the party, but i wan to say thanks to you, because of your comment i fixed my issue.
How i fixed my issue is that i raised front wheels, and listened to your comment ( there is a hole in sensors which indicates that middle point), after that i refitted sensor and done calibration while wheels were in air. ANd calibration passed, but when i lowered wheels on ground xenon pointed too high, so i performed another calibration and it passed again which set xenons to right position.

That is how i fixed this issue, hope that you can fix yours same way or that you fixed it already.
