Sun roof

hi my Laguna sunroof has decided not to shut to the switch position. Instead when it is meant to be closed the back edge is 1-2cm open. However the moment seems to be fine, as it will open fully both ways.
Could a sensor be faulty?

further to my last posting, there is a big ish red box under the headlining, simular to a relay, that looks like it connects to the motor, would this be the controller that determines where the sun roof is relating to the switch position?
