Hi,
Long story, skip to the end for the question.
I came here sometime in October asking for help surrounding the Diesel Additive Pump on my newly purchased 2012 DS5 Hybrid4. I knew there was an issue with this when purchasing it and was told the fault codes:
B162C 12 (Accessories positive relay control and status inconsistent Relay not activated But Active
U1F3C 87 (No communcation with the diesel additive pump)
Having took the sellers word, and was a reasonable price factoring in the additive pump issue.
A month later I took took it to the Citroen garage who advised that there was a short citcuit on the additive pump and needs replacing.
2 months after that, Monday 23rd just past, it was finally back at the Citroen garage to replace the additive pump (took a while to get one as they are on back order so ended up with used). Garage said they cleared the fault but the service light was still on (and passed its MOT)
I had tried fitting one myself earlier but could not clear the fault.
So still wondering what is wrong with it I load up Diagbox and the same two errors are still present! The garage seemingly fixed nothing.
The errors were under BSI section.
Delving further under ECU I can see P1435, intermittent (CAN network fault or pump fault) but if I try replacing the addiditive pump in Diagbox this code goes away until I start the engine.
Now it gets interesting ...
I look further down and under Hybrid ECU1 there are 3 errors, P1694, P16B5 and another P16B5 (one temporary, one permanent)
These can be cleared but then appear again after starting the engine.
Googling these error codes brings me to this thread viewtopic.php?t=72664
Funnily enough this was 5 days before I purchased the vehicle.
Fault code B1003 (configuration fault) is also mentioned which I didn't think much of until I saw this as I have this fault too.
Finally the location of the user is Harrogate and that is where I purchased the vehicle from ...
Seems like this user may have been faced with a £6500 bill and then completely missold the vehicle to me claiming it was only the additive pump that was the issue. No mention of a problem with the hybrid system and claimed it ran fine. Oddly there was no mention of the diesel additive pump in his thread so it is possible he snipped a wire somewhere to distract from the main issue. Considering it looks like he was selling a broken vehicle it wouldn't suprise me if he did this.
So now my question:
Does the hybrid fault codes (P1694 and P16B5) require the hybrid system replacing at £6500, or might there be a simpler fix?
Could the configuration fault (B1003) lead to the above hybrid fault codes? and possibly the additive pump code?
I am hoping that there is simply a configuration that failed part way and the car is confused as a part of it does not realise it's a diesel hybrid... or a lot of money has gone down the drain.

Re: DS5 Fault Codes (+back story)
I've only just happened on this post after checking my bookmarks doing a catch up.
As this was back in October and you haven't posted on it since, I'll assume you are living with the issue, or moved the car on. But essentially for the P16B5 fault, that I have already detailed on the linked post, you can see that it points to the Hybrid ECU. The additive issue is entirely separate, so whether the used additive tank you purchased was also faulty I can't say.
