I’ve not updated the thread on my T2 restomod project car for ages, so a quick catch-up, if anyone is at all interested…..
The car has now done over 12,000 miles, the highlight of which was a late summer road trip to Gaillac in the south west of France. It was quite simply magnificent on that trip, wafting along at motorway speeds, and, ah, hmm, sometimes a tad quicker
. It just hoovers up the road, and also annoying, aggressively driven Teutonic cars, it was worth it just for the look on their faces as it glides by at, well, easily the other side of 3 figuresI stayed with CX guru Stan on the way down, met my family, cycled, ate, drank wine, then had a simply stunning drive home from just outside Limoges, including an early morning 2+ hour blast on deserted roads.
I use it all the time, in all weathers, I’m aware that it will start to deteriorate slowly, but so am I….I built it to use, not sit around and look at it. I’ve also finally got the completely custom A/C system working, genuinely strong cold air flow in a CX!!
