c3 picasso problems

Hi all. just had my DS4 HDI sport written off as some idiot sideswiped it when it was parked , and did a bunk.
just bought a c3 picasso blue HDI to replace it,however theres some problems with it which i could do with some help on.

Knocking underneath. can't find anything loose. exhaust brackets ok, new droplinks, rear engine mount, sounds like a brake caliper rattling but seems ok when checked. Knocking seems to reduce substantially when you take foot off accelerator. put foot back on and starts knocking again. No rattles on driveshafts. sounds like there's something loose but cant find anything. There is a very small amont of movement on the inner tie rod but i dont know if this could cause that amount of knocking
