help
I bought a second hand loeb 1.6 thp 110 and had problems with it. First I changed cam shafts, filters, chain. It was badly mistreted by owner before me. Flush the engine becouse it was full of sludge. But im still having problems with too rich mixture. After clearing the code its good for 3-4 days and then it start to lose power and has no throttle responce. Some time it ahows check engine light and anti pollutant foult and some time it dosent. But after hooking it up to diagnostic it shows mixture too rich permament foult.Any ideas or simular situations?

Re: p2192 and p0299 errors
Please pop your VIN up (automasked on post submission) so I can relate the codes to the correct engine ECU, as you are stating a 110 engine which is a TU5JP4, whereas the THP engine is entirely different (150 EP6DT).

vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. I have another question can you give me oem codes for O2 sensors first before cat and second after cat converter.Im thinking maybe someone mixed them up they have the same conectors on them, but I think they are not the same shape.I some one can post pictures of them that would be great. Also can I get oem codes for fuel vapor purge canister and valve for controling the purge canister.

See below for the fault code descriptors:
Fault Code: | P2192 |
Description of Fault: | Richness regulation fault : Mixture too rich. Richness adaptation : Minimum error on the mixture corrections. The "multiplicative" correction of the mixture adaptation is less than 0,77. The following conditions have to be met for the fault to be triggered: - Engine ECU in principal wake-up - Reservoir: Not empty |
Conditions for Fault to clear: | Clearing of the fault provided the "multiplicative" correction is within the range (0,77, 1,23) during a driving phase. |
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active: | - |
Symptoms: |
|
Suspect Areas: |
|
Fault Code: | P0299 |
Description of Fault: | Turbocharging pressure regulation fault : Turbo pressure too low. Turbo pressure too low : Turbo regulation at the minimum limit ; The difference between the reference turbo pressure and the actual pressure falls below the threshold of - 0,1 bars or - 0,12 bars if there is an error in the camshaft dephasing system .No confirmation time. The following conditions have to be met for fault triggering: - Engine management ECU in main triggering phase - Turbocharger pressure regulation(Active) - Atmospheric pressure higher than 0,8 bars - Engine speed above a threshold dependent on atmospheric pressure - Turbo pressure valid - No power step error - Extra delay dependent on the engine speed after these conditions are active. |
Conditions for Fault to clear: | After engine restart (If the difference between the reference turbo pressure and the actual pressure exceeds the threshold of - 0,1 bars or - 0,12 bars if there is an error in the camshaft dephasing system). |

Re: p2192 and p0299 errors
Hi all,
My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. I have noticed luck of power and as soon as i plug it to diagbox i came across with error code P0229 turbo pressure electrovalve control with status permanent fault and fault characterisation flow too low.
Any idea of what is the possible reason of the error code?
Regards
Konstantinos

P0229 is not coming up as a valid code for this engine on your X7. The vehicles above are all petrol.

Re: p2192 and p0299 errors
Hi Marc,
Is this fault means that there is a problem with the solenoid valve sensor? Have you got any full description of the error to include suspect areas etc etc? Can you also please supply the solenoid valve part number? I think the sensor is back of the engine.
I will plug the car today on the diagbox to find out if the error came back on again after the 150 miles trip i did yesterday.
Regards
Konstantinos

Re: p2192 and p0299 errors
Sorry, I missed out the word 'not' from my last post which I've now edited. This code is not recognised as a valid fault code for this engine and it does not appear in the official codes for this engine, so there is no further info I can provide.
